PESC: Qualifying Series Kicks Off July 23

The rules and qualifying events for the iRacing Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, with a target date of 2023. To be eligible for this or future competitions.

The top road racers on iRacing can take their first step towards making the 2023 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup grid beginning on Saturday, July 23 with the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup Qualifying Series. This six-week series is open to all iRacing members with a minimum Class A 1.0 license, and will promote 15 drivers into the Contender Series that runs this fall to determine which drivers will do battle in the pro ranks next year.

Race sessions will open on Saturdays at 18:45 UTC (2:45PM ET) with three minutes of free practice, eight minutes/two laps of qualifying, and a 30-minute main race. Each split will feature a maximum of 30 cars, with default iRacing stewarding. The full race calendar is as follows:

  • July 23: HockenheimRing | National A
  • July 30: Silverstone Circuit | International
  • August 6: Red Bull Ring | National
  • August 13: Watkins Glen International | Classic
  • August 20: Nurburgring GP | Sprintstrecke
  • August 27: Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) | Grand Prix

Following the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup Qualifying Series, the top 15 point scorers will advance to the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup Contender Series later this fall, where they’ll do battle as part of a 35-car grid that also includes 2022 PESC drivers looking to return to the main show. The top 15 drivers from the Contender Series will join the top 15 points finishers from this year’s PESC standings to do battle for next year’s pro championship.
