Pimax will bring a complete Assetto Corsa EVO sim racing setup to IFA 2026 in Berlin, giving visitors the opportunity to try the simulator with its Dream Air VR headset.
The demonstration will be available throughout IFA from September 4-8, 2026. Pimax says the setup will combine Assetto Corsa EVO, dedicated sim racing hardware and the Dream Air, with the company positioning it as a hands-on showcase for high-end PC VR racing.
Assetto Corsa EVO meets Pimax Dream Air
The Dream Air is Pimax’s lightweight high-end PC VR headset, using Sony Micro-OLED displays with a resolution of 3840 × 3552 pixels per eye. Pimax lists a 110-degree horizontal field of view and a headset weight below 170 grams, alongside eye tracking and support for both SLAM and Lighthouse tracking configurations.
Assetto Corsa EVO is particularly relevant for the demonstration following the substantial VR work introduced during its 2026 Early Access development. Kunos Simulazioni added a major VR overhaul with Update 0.8 in July, including foveated rendering with eye-tracked support on compatible hardware, adjustable pixel density, world scaling, supersampling and a VR-specific MSAA solution.
The simulator also received a dedicated VR graphics profile and revised OpenXR integration. Assetto Corsa EVO now officially supports OpenXR headsets, making the Dream Air demonstration a practical showcase of both the headset and the simulator’s increasingly mature VR implementation.
Pimax has more sim racing activity planned for September
IFA 2026 takes place at Messe Berlin from September 4-8. The Assetto Corsa EVO rig forms part of a wider September programme from Pimax focused heavily on simulation.
Following IFA, Pimax is scheduled to feature during the official broadcast of the iRacing Suzuka 1000km from September 11-13. The company will then attend Sim Gaming Expo in the Chicago area from September 18-20, where visitors will be able to try both its Dream Air and Crystal Super headset ranges across racing and flight simulation setups.
The IFA appearance is therefore not a new Dream Air product announcement, but it will provide one of the first major European public opportunities this September to experience Pimax’s lightweight headset running Assetto Corsa EVO on a complete sim racing rig.
