PISTA Motorsport: Classes 1 & 3 for Turismo Pista ready

The simulator made in Argentina and based on the Assetto Corsa engine shows signs of life after a few months and incorporates new features in its development note. The touring car enjoys classes 1 and 3, and the Procar 4000 class includes Ford and Dodge.

PISTA Motorsport continues its development steadily, and we want to share with the community all the great news about the product. It has been months of hard work and constant improvements, during which we have managed to maximize the physics and FFB, as well as successfully implement new content and new options for the platform.

One of the great news was the integration of the Turismo Pista Class 3. The most numerous national category in the country now adds a division, as in addition to Class 1, we now also have the major class. We are also working on other categories such as Procar 4000, where we are already integrating Ford and Dodge to enjoy the complete category.

In addition to the categories, we have also been working hard on the circuits, as we are including San Nicolás and Rafaela in the platform. We believe it is a great addition in terms of content because we consider variety important, and a fast circuit like Rafaela fits perfectly into a platform where there are slow or twisty circuits like Rosario, circuits that host many zonal categories like La Plata, and even international circuits like Termas de Rio Hondo.

Moving away from content, we have been working hard to add improvements to the “core” of the game, bringing more functionalities that make it more complete. That’s why we are proud to present our replay mode, where we can fast forward, rewind, use slow-motion, and also interact with different cameras: we integrate circuit TV cameras, to see your lap as it would be seen from a TV broadcast. We also added drone cameras, with which the user can move freely around the circuit, as well as free cameras inside the car to record laps from any desired angle. On the other hand, we are finishing the “garage mode”, where players will be able to modify the setup of their cars and save, load, and share those configurations to fine-tune the car to their liking and adapt it to each driving style. In addition to setup configurations, it will also be possible to modify aesthetic details in the cars that allow it (different front ends, for example).

We greatly appreciate the support of the community, which is why we wanted to take this opportunity to answer some of the many questions we receive daily about the platform:

Will it have mods?

Yes. We envision PISTA Motorsport as a great platform that encompasses as much content as possible. We want modders to truly receive what they deserve for the work and time dedicated to the platform, and that is why we focus on avoiding piracy of their content at all costs. Therefore, once released to the public, we will invite all modders to join the project by contributing their work and receiving a real benefit for their time and dedication, in a real and serious store that allows them to share their work without worrying about piracy or misuse of their 3D models.

What categories will be included?

In the first public version of the product, we will have a good variety of categories, as we will have formula cars, front-wheel-drive touring cars, rear-wheel-drive, and even a surprise that we have not yet shown on our social media. As the product progresses, more categories and modalities will be added. We work with several national categories in other products, such as Turismo Carretera in ACTC Racing, or Turismo Nacional in TN Mobile, so we want to create a great platform to add this type of categories to PISTA Motorsport when the product is in its final phase.

What circuits will be included?

La Plata, Rafaela, Rosario, San Nicolás, and Termas de Rio Hondo will be the first circuits available on the platform in its first public version. Like with the categories, it

is not a final and definitive list but rather a starting point. Our idea is to cover as many circuits as possible because we believe that the variety, quantity, and quality of the content are key aspects on which we need to focus on PISTA Motorsport.

Will it have an iRacing-style online system?

The online system of PISTA Motorsport will share some features with the iRacing system, but it will not be the same. Our idea is not to create a service where players are tied to monthly payments, as iRacing does to maintain an online infrastructure of that style. We want to focus the online aspect of PISTA Motorsport on the professionalization of leagues, inviting them to be part of the project and offering them tools for supervision, broadcasting, and organization that allow them to work in a faster, more efficient, and serious way. We also want to leave the door open for any player to create a room with their friends for free, something impossible to think of in an iRacing-style system where players pay for each created room. Likewise, our idea is to have weekly official events where players can compete in a specific combination on a specific track. Both official leagues and official events will earn license points for the player, allowing them to stand out and compete with the rest of the players.

Will there be zonal or dirt categories?

Yes, already in the first version of the product we will have zonal asphalt categories, and the idea is to add dirt categories and circuits as we advance in development. We conducted tests on the platform with different types of surfaces and the results were more than satisfactory, so we are very excited to add this type of categories that we know contribute a lot to the platform in terms of variety.

When will it be released? Where can it be purchased?

All the information about our plan to launch the product will be detailed in the following paragraph.

PISTA Motorsport will be released to the market as an Early Access on Steam.

Early Access is a way to allow users to try the product before it is 100% finished and collaborate in its development by proposing improvements. The game will be launched on Steam with some functionalities, and as it matures, users will receive updates with new content and features. We believe it is the best way to launch a product because if we analyze the history, companies like Kunos Simulazioni (Assetto Corsa) did the same, and releasing the product as Early Access allowed them to improve and grow steadily. Therefore, we believe there is a model to follow, and we plan to release a slightly more complete first version of PISTA Motorsport where instead of offering only a practice mode and an offline time attack mode (as the first version of Assetto Corsa offered us), we will take a step further and for the first public version, we will have an offline practice mode and also an online time trial mode, where players will be able to choose car/track and compete for the best time on a global leaderboard where the best times of each player in the world are listed. In addition to these 2 game modes, we will include a surprise that we will be announcing later. From there onwards, users who have purchased PISTA Motorsport will receive the updates we make to the product and will know from day one about every change and novelty we add to the platform. The priority list of PISTA Motorsport is led by the integration of races with AI and Online races to the platform, those will be our next steps.

Our efforts are focused on offering PISTA Motorsport to the public as soon as possible, but our priority is also that everyone who trusts the product finds a friendly, functional, and fun platform, so we will focus on polishing it as much as possible before publicly releasing it because despite being an Early Access where the product is not finished, we want players to have the best possible experience.

We thank the community for the support and enthusiasm with which they await a 100% Argentine platform made from scratch. We are very pleased with the results we are having, and we want the community to be part of it. That’s why we invite and want to include leagues and modders to also be part of this great project in which we want them to benefit and be able to scale their work. We are very careful with dates, but we hope to have a concrete release day as soon as possible, and we are convinced that day will come soon.

PISTA Motorsport is now available on Steam.
