Polestar continues to step up its launch strategy for the Polestar 5, its upcoming high-performance electric sedan, through an increasingly close collaboration with the Gran Turismo 7 ecosystem. As part of this promotional push ahead of the model’s arrival at European dealerships, the Swedish brand has unveiled an exclusive Gran Turismo–inspired livery, applied directly to a real-world pre-production Polestar 5.

The car has been available to Gran Turismo 7 players since the Spec III update released in December 2025, effectively serving as a bridge between the virtual experience and the physical product. This comes at a key moment, as European customers will still need to wait until spring to take delivery of the real vehicle.

In the meantime, customers who have already placed their orders — priced from £104,900 for the Performance Launch Edition and £89,500 for the Dual Motor Launch Edition — can experience the car ahead of time through the simulator. To support this, Polestar has installed Gran Turismo 7 driving rigs at several Polestar Spaces across selected European markets.

These locations allow both customers and prospective buyers to virtually drive the Polestar 5, reinforcing the brand’s narrative around design, technology, and digital-first experiences. It was at the Polestar Space in Vienna where this special livery version of the car was officially revealed.

The presentation was part of a brand-organized competition, in which participants set competitive lap times on the simulators for a chance to win a trip to the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, one of Europe’s most iconic winter motorsport events. Polestar plans to showcase the Polestar 5 at the event as part of its broader promotional presence.

The competition concluded with a grand final on January 28, attended in person by Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo franchise, who presented the winner’s trophy. The featured livery combines a striking yellow-and-black color scheme with a reinterpretation of the classic Gran Turismo logo, incorporating twin longitudinal stripes that emphasize the car’s performance-focused character.
