The long-awaited VRS DirectForce Pro Formula Steering Wheel is finally available for pre-order after making appearances at various fairs and exhibitions. The product’s key features have also been revealed.
Sporting a sleek, minimalist design with a compact size of 287mm in diameter, the steering wheel boasts a rigid yet lightweight aluminum front plate and an optimized polymer casing. It also comes equipped with a comprehensive selection of precisely machined aluminum buttons, encoders, rotary switches, and joysticks, with a strong emphasis on weighted and tactile operation, as well as durability.
The ergonomically optimized silicone rubber grips are fully replaceable for added convenience. The electronic components are integrated onto a single circuit board with Hall sensors for the shifters and paddles, which not only improves reliability but also simplifies production. The magnetic shifter and clutch paddles are both adjustable and feature a responsive and satisfying action.
The firmware is upgradable, and the VRS software allows for fully customizable profiles that can be stored and saved directly onto the device. The steering wheel is fully compatible with the 70mm PCD universal mounting for motorsports, including the new VRS Quick Release.
In line with VRS’s overarching vision of providing market-leading performance and functionality at a competitive price, the VRS DirectForce Pro Formula Steering Wheel is priced at 997 euros. While this may seem a bit steep compared to national alternatives, it is a testament to the quality and features of the product. Shipments are scheduled to begin on April 18th, and you can find more information on this link.
