Today we bring you a compilation of the Professional Drivers Sim Racing Setup that we have been showing throughout the year. We hope it will help be useful to you.
Fernando Alonso
We will show you the equipment that the spanish driver has set up to enjoy into the SimRacing world. Follow us and discover all component to be at the same level as a double world champion of F1 and WEC.
Racing Wheel
We start with the wheel and the base. Both are Fanatec, Podium F1 bundle that includes PlayStation 4 support and can be found in many of the professional drivers advanced simulators.
The Podium bases are highly accurate and reliable Direct Drive engines that were introduced years ago with handcrafted developments such as OSW, which we made an analysis at the time.

Video
Pedals
The pedals are handmade by the brand that has provided the simulator for Fernando. This is Allinsport and is a set of two pedals, possibly hydraulic of the same technology as other high-end pedals such as Heusinkveld Ultimate.
Screen Monitor
The screen is a 49-inch Samsung that we’ve talked about here before, allowing full compatibility with other titles.
SimRacing PC
A powerful PC which we don’t know specific specifications, but probably very similar to what we show you here every month.
Cockpit
The cockpit and seat are also typical of , with installed bodyshakers that allow you to have more immersion and fidelity like real track. Although at first glance you may think that it is not very accessible setup, the truth is that when you are updating and improving you hardware, and having clear that you are going to dedicate time to it, it is not an impossible dream
Although it is virtually, it seems that Fernando Alonso may have come to SimRacing to stay. Stay while he combine it with your other activities on the track.
He added another double in the Legends Trophy of rFactor 2 with some of the best recent times drivers of different disciplines and he won the 24 Hours of Spa on iRacing.
So rFactor 2 and iRacing, it’s one of the simulators chosen by the Spanish Formula 1 Driver.

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc has been very active during the quarantine showing us his skills in the simulators. During this time he has several anecdotes that demonstrate his great popularity nowadays and that go from his girlfriend becoming a subscriber to open the door for him, to the already mythical banana costume.
Leclerc has shown us his two simrigs, cockpits or whatever you want to call them, one dedicated to rally and drifting and the other for everything related to driving on the track.
Both cockpits have configured a screen of 49 inches Samsung that fits very well with the type of variable games that can use Charles, although we have also seen it using triples for the event of the 24 hours of Le Mans in rFactor 2 supported by a fourth screen to control the time and information relating to the rest of competitors.
The cockpits are from Playseat (Playseat F1 Red and Playseat Sensation Pro) with finishes in red were Ferrari. We recommend the aluminum profiles for its versatility and price more than these, but we put the links anyway.
In the rally cockpit has a hand brake by Fanatec and a shifter SQ v1.5 also by Fanatec. The one you usually use to drive GT and formulas has a base Fanatec Podium with one of the usual steering wheels of the pack. The pedals are a Fanatec V3 that he uses without shoes. Its sound headset is the one already mentioned in other occasions Logitech G Pro X used by other streamers. As you can see, the set is within the normal to be who it is, but accessible by the rest of the mortals.

Charles has been a regular fixture on Twitch during these off-season months while having fun with his grill buddies. He has been active with F1 2019, with Assetto Corsa Competizione and with rFactor 2 participating in multiple events. At this very moment he is the image of the Ferrari championship that will be held in the first Assetto Corsa and of which we have already informed you with great prizes to the winners.

Lando Norris
Lando Norris is having a very good performance in this strange F1 season. Accompanied by the good performance of the McLaren, he has shown that he can be as high as his still teammate Carlos Sainz. Both have an exceptional relationship and are one of the best couples in the F1 grid.
Norris use the SimRacing as a train tool, preferably iRacing from his time in Formula Renault and even before. I have shared a track with him when he was a complete stranger many times, and I can assure you that he has always maintained that casual air he shows now in the top category.
He is responsible for the fact that even Carlos Sainz has joined iRacing and that probably the McLaren MP4-30 has changed in this last build for the better.
He shares on Twitch many of his experiences and like all his contemporaries, he enjoys exchanging opinions with everyone on social networks. He is one of the pioneers in this change of behavior of drivers that we have seen in the last two years and an example in the handling of new media.
He has two simulators installed. Both cockpits are the CoolPerformance Formula Simulator with a triple screen configuration of 27 inches that fits very well with the type of simulators that Lando uses, such as iRacing or rFactor 2 supported by a fourth screen (and fifth for interactions in Twitch) to control the time and information relating to other competitors.

In the CoolPerformance cockpit everything is of a high standard. The basis of the steering wheel is a high-end DD engine like the Simucube 2 Ultimate. The wheel is a Cube model. The pedals are hydraulic CoolPerformance that you use without shoes. Its sound headset is a Logitech G like the one used by other streamers. He has been active with F1 2019, iRacing and rFactor 2 participating in multiple events.
Sergio Perez
During the last few years, the Mexican has shown us in some pictures that he also enjoys simRacing in a particular level, with a good material has been achieved consisting of several pieces of hardware that we are going to talk about next. You have the table with all the purchase links at the end of the article.
Sergio has trusted in Sim-lab using their cockpit, which we told you about here some time ago. He uses it to simulate his seat layout in F1, although the view he uses in F1 by Codemasters is not exactly consistent with his stance, but we assume he will adapt it over time.
He uses a Fanatec Podium F1 PS4 steering wheel base, which has recently been confirmed to work on PlayStation 5 and allows maximum compatibility with console games with the best performance of Direct Drive steering wheels.
The wheel is from the Italian brand Cube, which we hope to be able to tell you something in the coming weeks and which has a good reputation for the quality and finish of carbon fibre and other essential components for steering wheels.
The pedals are relatively inexpensive for the rest of the set, but the CSL Elite LC are perfectly valid and have PS5 compatibility through Fanatec’s Podium base.
The monitor is a 49-inch Samsung similar to the ones we regularly present to you and the ones you have in our monitor section. The headphones are a Logitech G Pro X that are highly rated and popular with users.
He usually takes its revenge at home with the current F1 title, in this case F1 2020 on PC. Remember, you can buy F1 2020 for PC at Instant Gaming by clicking here or at Schumacher edition by clicking here. Console editions can be purchased here: F1 2020.
The PC is probably similar to the ones we recommend every month and El Gato streaming deck for live performances on platforms like Twitch Prime.
It is clear that it is a very complete set that allows the Mexican driver of Racing Point to have fun and test some tracks. We hope to see him back on the track as soon as possible.

Juan Pablo Montoya
The Bogota native is one of the most remembered drivers in F1 for his aggressive overtaking maneuvers and one of the most missed over the years, with the feeling that he could have aspired to something bigger within the F1 circus. Once he finished his career in Europe he gave his best in the United States where he enjoyed the highest level of the IMSA after achieving great victories in Indycar and NASCAR.
Juan Pablo Montoya’s simulator is based on his association with WFG and AllinSports, companies that in one way or another we have also seen in Fernando Alonso’s simulator. His location in Florida makes AIS his provider for these needs, which leads him to have a simulator similar to the Spanish one.
The pedals are similar to Fernando’s, made only by Allinsport and is a set of two pedals, possibly springs and elastomers of lesser advance technology of other high standing pedals such as the NWS 3P, the Heusinkveld Ultimate, or the SRP-GT.
The steering wheel is a Direct Drive, possibly a Simucube 2 or 1 as the installation dates from the middle of last year. The base ring has mutated to a Cube Controls in the most recent photo, where we also see the use of Logitech G headsets replacing the audio system in the first photo.
It has also changed the 55-inch TV to a 49-inch Samsung ultrawide monitor which we have talked about here before as we see in the last picture, with a Fanatec handbrake and a sequential one of the same brand probably.
A powerful PC of which we don’t know specific specifications, but probably very similar to what we published here.
The cockpit and the seat are also from Allinsport, but it is nothing that you miss if you go to look a little bit in our cockpit section like IOVALUETECH or NWS Xtreme.

Montoya has been using the simulator at the WFG and The Race events, with Factor 2, so it has been possible to enjoy his driving during this time of confinement.
Knowing that this is a hobby you are going to dedicate time to, it is not an impossible dream to achieve something similar.
Sophia Floersch
Professional drivers show us their sims day by day on the social networks. SimRacing has become a daily hobby for many of the drivers, who must keep their senses trained for the moment of the race.
This time, Sophia Floersch, F3 driver, shows us through a video she has published in her Youtube channel, the components she use in her simulator.
The Floersch simulator is based on a 4DOF movement unit that allows to simulate many of the driving sensations as well as the loss of traction. It also makes mention of his recently acquired 49″ Samsung Ultrawide monitor, but it does not reach the realism that he has with the HP Reverb. In the list you can already find the preorder for the HP Reverb G2 that will be released in October.
The PC is a high performance one from a German shop, similar to one of the expensive ones we advise you from time to time here on the web whose most important parts are an i9 and an RTX 2080Ti.
Sophia uses a Fanatec DD2 base, combining the F1 2020 wheel and Formula V2 to simulate her car with the different types paddles shifter. In her opinion, through the customization that Fanatec offers, it is the best that can be achieved in terms of transmitting the sensations of a real vehicle. Complement it with a Fanatec shifter.
He says that during this stage, he has been introducing improvements little by little to improve his driving experience, such as the Astro A40 TR headset that allow maximum sound fidelity. Complemented by a Logitech keyboard, mouse and speakers.
At her feet, she has a Heusinkveld Ultimate pedal set that, according to her, is the closest replica to a real car in terms of sensations due to its extreme hardness and short travel.
It mainly uses three simulators such as rFactor 2, iRacing and Assetto Corsa where it simulates F3 and can train a multitude of tracks with realism.
José María ‘Pechito’ López
Today, we review the cockpit of the champion Jose Maria Lopez, probably the most successful Argentinean driver in the country due to his many international successes.
Pechito López is known worldwide for being a three-time World Touring Car Champion with Citroën and having made the jump to the endurance world championship with Toyota, where he has fought with Fernando Alonso to become WEC champion with the Japanese brand. Pechito is no stranger to simulators and at least for some time he has been enjoying the track with the other simRacers in titles such as iRacing or rFactor 2.
Although they are images from some time ago, the fact is that the famous driver has a first class material that we detail in the following lines.
The triples configuration is quite common among the community with a set of three curved 27-inch monitors, possibly Samsung 60Hz. We have replaced them with current ones with better features.
The pedals are the Heusinkveld Ultimate which we have shown you many times already on the web. This time it’s the clutchless set, as the cars of the World Cup of cars don’t have them and it’s not usual in some countries either.
The base is an Augury OSW Simucube 1, with similar characteristics to a Simucube 2 Sport or Pro and provides a very reliable sensations. The set is completed with a Precision Simsteering wheel of high quality and very high price with carbon fiber finishes and made from a Sparco P310. We have replaced it with a similar model from Cube Controls.
The cockpit is made with aluminum profiles to support the forces exerted by the Direct Drive steering wheel. We do not guess the seat, but we assume a bucket to complete the set as it is the usual solution.
There is a Z1 dashboard, button panel, headset and sequential shifter from Manu Factory. There are no movement systems but we don’t know if there are any bodyshakers in its configuration.
José María López will try to win his first LeMans victory this year after several second places and we hope to see him on the virtual tracks again this winter.

Agustín Canapino
Agustín Canapino, aka the Great Simulator (as it is usually called in his Albiceleste country) is a curious case within motor racing, since he never competed in karting, and today, he is multiple champion in Tourism cars in Argentina, with outstanding participations abroad such as the 24hs of Daytona.
Before starting to race in cars he was already a simracer. “When I was a kid I took the simulator very seriously” – he said. From there he went straight to national motoring, where he achieved 14 National Titles. At the same time, he continues to compete in simulators as Williams driver, being one of the top references in the world. Only in 2020, he has made a podium in races such as the 24hs of Nurburging, the 24hs of LeMans (iRacing) and the 24hs of Official LeMans (rfactor 2).
The Titan usually trains in its ISA simulator (ISA Simulators), which it has in constant updating. Here we describe the cockpit it currently has:
- ISA Chassis: Tubular structure manufactured 100% by ISA
- ISA Pedalboard: Tilton Hydraulic Pedalboard, assembled and configured by ISA
- DirectDrive: Leo Bodnar SteeringSteering 2 Servo Engine (will soon be mounting a SimuCube 2)
- Flyer: Precision Simsteering – Quickrelease ISA
- 3 Screens : 3×27 Benq 2k 144hz
- Dash 5″ (for JRT)
- Auxiliary screen 27″, to see acquisition and extras.
- Vroom Antishock chair
When we consulted Agustín about the work of several years in his simulator, “I seek a balance between the greatest possible realism without it harming me when it comes to going as fine as possible. I use a somewhat heavy ForceFeedback to get a better feel for the car. As for the screens, having the Freesync synchronized with the Gsync of the Nvidia board makes the image spectacular”.
