Project Motor Racing, the upcoming title from Straight4 Studios, has officially opened applications for its Factory Driver Program. This initiative will allow selected players to gain early access to the simulator and collaborate directly in its development

Far from being just another beta, the FDP is a gamified approach where participants will test cars, evaluate their behavior, and help refine the driving model before — and after  the official release, scheduled for November 25.

What is the Factory Driver Program?

The Factory Driver Program aims to bring together a diverse sim racing community. It is not limited to professionals or elite virtual drivers. According to Straight4 Studios, the goal is to include “passionate sim racers of all backgrounds” who are eager to share their impressions and feedback on vehicle handling.

What do you need to apply?

To apply, you’ll need to complete a form on the official website with the following information:

  • Contact details
  • Racing experience level (sim racer, amateur, or professional)
  • Relevant links (YouTube, social media, forums, if applicable)
  • Your sim racing gear and PC specs
  • A short motivation letter: Why do you want to be part of the program, and what can you bring as a sim racer?

Participants will rate each car using a scale from -2 to +2, where 0 represents the “sweet spot” of desired performance. This allows developers to fine-tune each vehicle with surgical precision.

A program that extends beyond the launch

One particularly interesting aspect is that the FDP is not limited to Project Motor Racing. According to the studio’s website, participants may continue contributing to “current and future projects at Straight4 Studios.”

You can apply now on the official Project Motor Racing website.

See you on the track!
