Project Motor Racing expands today, September 15, 2026, with the launch of the V8 Power Pack, adding nine V8 race cars across three distinct classes alongside Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The DLC covers modern Australian V8 machinery, contemporary American TA2-style racers and historic US muscle cars, all built around rear-wheel drive and naturally aspirated V8 performance. The pack launches across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Publisher GIANTS Software and developer Straight4 Studios originally revealed the pack in August, with update 2.2.1.0 arriving on September 11 to prepare the game for today’s release. Across all three categories, Project Motor Racing is emphasizing analogue driving, with no traction control, ABS or electronic driver aids to manage the cars for the player. The V8 Power Pack is also included as part of the Project Motor Racing Year 1 Season Pass.
Nine New V8 Cars Across Three Classes
The largest class in the pack is Historic USV8, representing the American pony-car road racing era of the late 1960s and early 1970s. These cars rely heavily on mechanical grip, body movement, throttle control and live rear axle behaviour rather than modern aerodynamics or electronic assistance. Four historic models are included:
- 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 TA
- 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 TA
- 1970 Plymouth Barracuda TA
- 1971 AMC Javelin TA
The modern American side is represented by the USV8 class, bringing three current-generation silhouette racers into Project Motor Racing. The 2022 Chevrolet Camaro TA2, Dodge Challenger TA2 and Ford Mustang TA2 are designed around closely matched performance, rear-wheel drive and large naturally aspirated V8 engines. They provide a more contemporary interpretation of American muscle-car racing while retaining the relatively simple mechanical philosophy of the historic machines.

Completing the pack is AUS V8 EVO, based around modern Australian Gen3-style touring cars. The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro AU V8SC and Ford Mustang AU combine approximately 600 hp with rear-wheel drive, large brakes and significantly more aerodynamic performance than the Historic USV8 machinery. The familiar Camaro-versus-Mustang rivalry therefore appears in two very different forms within the same DLC.

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta Also Joins PMR
The V8 Power Pack also introduces Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, giving the nine cars a new American circuit on which to compete. The main configuration measures approximately 2.54 miles and is defined by significant elevation changes, fast esses, blind crests and several heavy braking zones. Project Motor Racing lists two circuit layouts as part of the pack.
Road Atlanta is particularly well matched to the new content because its high-speed direction changes and elevation changes expose the different characteristics of all three V8 generations. Historic cars will rely far more heavily on mechanical grip and throttle management, while the AUS V8 EVO machines can make greater use of their modern chassis and aerodynamic performance. The USV8 cars sit between those extremes with closely matched silhouette racing intended to encourage door-to-door competition.
V8 Power Pack Price and Availability
The Project Motor Racing V8 Power Pack is priced at $14.99 / €14.99, with a 10% pre-release promotion reducing it to $13.49 / €13.49 through September 15. It is also included in the Year 1 Season Pass, so existing Season Pass owners should receive the new content as part of their package. Availability begins today across the game’s supported platforms.

With nine cars rather than a single vehicle class, the V8 Power Pack covers several very different eras of V8 racing in one release. The addition of Road Atlanta also gives Project Motor Racing another major North American circuit while providing an appropriate home for the new American machinery. Straight4 Studios has also confirmed that another Project Motor Racing update with further improvements is planned for later in September.
