On July 9, Straight4 Studios and GIANTS Software release this huge proving ground as free content through ModHub for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not arrive as just another track. It arrives as a serious playground, a laboratory smelling of hot rubber, designed so drivers and creators can discover just how far the simulator can go.

Set in a sprawling Italian environment, the Test Centre recalls those old proving-ground complexes where you could lose hours without ever chasing a chequered flag. There are speed rings, technical sections, banked corners, skid platforms and open areas where the car can speak freely, with no barrier cutting the conversation short.

The Big Loop is built for stretching gears and checking high-speed stability. The Small Loop forces you to work on traction and the car’s response through slow corners. The Small Needle Skidpad is perhaps one of the most valuable areas, because it lets you feel clearly whether the car is starting to push at the front or step out at the rear. No distractions: just steering, throttle, tyre and patience.

The arrival of the Test Centre fits an important stage for Project Motor Racing. After deep adjustments to physics, Force Feedback, slipstream, brakes and suspension, the simulator is trying to leave its early doubts behind and show a clearer personality. Update 2.0.0.6 introduced changes that become especially noticeable once you start playing with fine setup tuning.

The third spring, the brake ducts and the relationship between temperature, tyre pressure and grip are no longer details hidden in a menu. At the Test Centre they become tangible experiences. Close the cooling too much and you may gain top speed, but the tyre starts paying the price. Change the balance and the car answers in a different language.

The centre also has a less visible but equally important mission: serving as a reference for modding. Its surfaces, kerbs, asphalt types and transitions work as a practical guide for anyone who wants to build circuits and tune materials consistently. ModHub, moreover, opens a door that is rare in the genre, especially on consoles.
