PSVR2: Reasons Why You Should Experience Gran Turismo 7 in VR

On the PlayStation blog, we present to you four reasons why you should experience Gran Turismo 7 in VR instead of playing on a flat screen. Plus, if you already have this title in your PS5 library, you can do it at no additional cost.

Here are four reasons why you should experience GT 7 in VR.

• Impressive graphics: The conversion to PSVR2 does not sacrifice the impressive graphics of GT 7. The sharpness and clarity are the same and superior to those of GT Sport.

• VR gallery: Admire over 450 vehicles in virtual reality and experience a superior sensation to that of playing on a flat screen.

• Head tracking: Not having to keep your gaze fixed forward and being able to move your head to the sides allows you to have a more realistic driving experience. Seeing the rest of the track more widely also helps you better plan your next maneuvers.

• Sense of scale and speed: Playing GT 7 in VR intensifies the sensations of driving at high speed and allows you to experience the excitement of being inside a car. In addition, the outside world becomes more realistic, with imposing mountains and barren landscapes that seem emptier and more desolate.

My experience playing GT7 also showed me another advantage of the new PS VR2 hardware that I hadn’t thought of before: since the headset doesn’t need a camera to track your position in 3D space, you don’t have to worry as much about your position in relation to the screen. This small change will probably make me use the headset more often during my daily gaming sessions.
