PXN is expanding its higher-end sim racing range with two new Formula-style steering wheels, both featuring 4.3-inch displays and extensive controls, ahead of their Gamescom 2026 debut.
PXN has revealed two new Formula-style sim racing steering wheels as part of its Gamescom 2026 hardware lineup. The new W FC Formula Wheel and W FS Formula Wheel target different positions in the company’s expanding ecosystem, with the W FC presented as the flagship option and the W FS offering a more accessible 290mm alternative.
Both wheels feature integrated 4.3-inch displays and support extensive configuration, while PXN is increasingly positioning its latest hardware beyond the entry-level segment traditionally associated with the brand. The two Formula wheels will be shown alongside PXN’s new S-Series Direct Drive bases and other racing hardware at Gamescom in Cologne.
PXN W FC becomes the new flagship Formula wheel
The PXN W FC Formula Wheel sits at the top of the new range and uses real carbon fiber for both its front plate and rear cover.
PXN has equipped the wheel with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and a customizable user interface, allowing telemetry and dashboard information to be displayed directly on the wheel. The control layout also includes self-centering toggle switches and 12-position thumb encoders aimed at making adjustments available without removing the driver’s hands from the grips.
The W FC also uses adjustable Hall-effect shift paddles and a CNC-machined anodized quick-release module. RGB lighting can be configured through both PXN’s own SimRacing software and SimHub, expanding the customization available for telemetry-driven lighting and other visual functions.
PXN has not yet published the wheel’s dimensions, weight or final control count, so those specifications remain to be confirmed.
W FS offers a 290mm alternative
The W FS Formula Wheel takes a slightly different approach. PXN describes it as the more accessible Formula option, although it retains many of the features normally associated with higher-end sim racing wheels.
It uses a 290mm format with a carbon fiber-look faceplate and CNC-machined aluminium alloy construction. A customizable 4.3-inch touchscreen dashboard sits at the centre of the wheel, accompanied by 12 programmable buttons.
Behind the wheel are four carbon fiber Hall-effect paddles plus two additional microswitch paddles, giving the W FS a six-paddle arrangement. The front controls also include multimode rotary encoders and seven-way funky switches.
Telemetry lighting is handled by 15 adjustable rev LEDs and six flag indicator LEDs, while configuration is supported through PXN SimRacing software and SimHub.
That places the W FS in an increasingly competitive part of the market, where Formula-style wheels with integrated screens have become a major differentiator between Direct Drive ecosystems.
Part of a much larger PXN Gamescom push
The two steering wheels are only part of PXN’s expanded racing lineup for Gamescom 2026.
The company is also introducing its new S16 and S23 Direct Drive wheelbases, rated at 16 Nm and 23 Nm of constant torque respectively. Both use 24-bit magnetic encoders, torque sensors, configurable side lighting and software-controlled Force Feedback settings.
PXN will additionally display the new W TS Truck Wheel, a 400mm Scania-style steering wheel aimed at Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator users, alongside its existing GT ONE wheel, Vector X pedals and VD-series Direct Drive bundles.
The expansion shows PXN moving further into enthusiast-level sim racing hardware after previously concentrating much of its range around entry-level and lower-priced equipment.
Gamescom visitors will be able to see the W FC and W FS at PXN’s Hall 10.1, Booth C-041. The S16 paired with the GT ONE wheel and Vector X pedals will also form part of a playable simulator setup at the show.
Price and release dates remain unconfirmed
PXN has revealed a substantial amount about the hardware itself, but several important details remain unknown.
The company has not yet announced pricing or retail availability for either the W FC or W FS, nor has it provided a complete compatibility list detailing which PXN wheelbases or third-party systems can use the new wheels.
Those details are likely to become clearer as Gamescom gets underway and the hardware is shown publicly.
For now, the W FC represents PXN’s new flagship Formula steering wheel, while the 290mm W FS provides a second option with a six-paddle layout, integrated display and SimHub support. Both form part of PXN’s biggest move yet towards the higher-performance end of the sim racing hardware market.
