Everyone’s already there: the guy who always brags about his expensive car, the one who tells you for the third time he went to Le Mans, and suddenly… someone shows up carrying a BMW M Hybrid V8, a Porsche 963, and a Lamborghini SC63.
Well, that’s what’s about to happen on September 24th when RaceRoom releases its first hyper-puppies onto the digital track.
The beauty here is that we’re not just talking about simple cars with an engine. These come with ICE engines, energy maps, brake migration, and virtual battery management. In other words, if you never understood how your car’s air conditioning even works, get ready because this goes way beyond that.
And yes, I know, the question on everyone’s mind is: did we really need more Hypercars in another simulator?
The answer is: probably not, but how fun that we do.
Some will say yes, that we’ve already seen this everywhere.
Until now, RaceRoom was quite comfortable with its 90s Touring Cars and the trusty GT3s that never fail. Will they drive well? That’s the real question.
It doesn’t matter if you love, hate, or simply don’t care about the arrival of these cars. The truth is, the sim racing industry feels like one big competition of who can build the biggest burger: every studio wants to prove they can make it juicier, more realistic, and with extra toppings.
RaceRoom is now pulling up a chair to that table, with its three hyper-beasts ready to roll.
Is it late? Is it necessary? Maybe not.
See you on the track!
