Raceroom rewards loyal users of the platform with a free Audi R8 LMS Safety Car.
However in the terms of use of the car there are some rules to consider and we list them for you below.
Disclaimer
- The SC is not intended to be used in Single Player / with AI.
- The SC is not intended to compete with other SCs.
- The SC driver will use a player slot on a MP server.
- The SC does not add formation lap or FCY functionality to the game automatically.
- Inform your drivers if you intend to use it.
- The SC is not being timed/calculated by the simulator, so it does not interfere with race standings.
Usage:
- Add the SC to the car selection when you set up the server.
- To use the headlights press the “Flash Headlights” key.
- The collisions are activated.
- The SC will be placed between P1 and P2 on the starting grid of the race.
- If you want a regular standing start and have the safety car simply available during the race, make sure that the server setting “Delayed start from pitlane” has a non-zero value. Then the SC driver should not click on the grid before the time delay has elapsed.
- The SC will then appear in the pitlane, ready to be used.
- If the SC is intended to be used during a race session, the SC stop must be made within the pitlane limits (same lines as the speed limitations), the engine can be switched off.
- The ESC must not be pressed as it would not be allowed to return.
- The SC driver must go at least to the pitlane speed limit, otherwise he will be ghosted
Note
- Third party applications such as OtterHud may not work correctly for the SC driver.
To get the new safety car content, users must join the RaceRoom Discord server and select the “SC Driver” role. After doing so, players will receive a code that they can use through the RaceRoom portal, which they can redeem by choosing “Redeem Code” from the Wallet drop-down menu.
See you on the track!
