RaceRoom refreshes its competitive multiplayer with a new week of Ranked racing and special events

RaceRoom kicks off a new week of online competition with a fully updated Ranked schedule and a new Free 2 Play offering, designed to deliver close racing across sprint formats and endurance-style events. The program will be available from January 26 to February 2, combining accessibility for new drivers with challenges tailored to more experienced players.

The weekly structure once again rests on three pillars—daily races, feature events, and weekly races—while also introducing the first endurance Special Event of 2026, with Daytona taking center stage.

Free 2 Play: BMW M235i at Sonoma, open to everyone

Throughout the week, RaceRoom is offering a Free 2 Play combo that allows any player to compete without making a purchase. This time, all drivers can get behind the wheel of the BMW M235i at Sonoma Raceway, using a fixed setup and short sprint races.

The focus is on momentum-based driving and consistency, removing technical differences between competitors. This makes it an ideal entry point for new players looking to jump into Ranked, as well as a quick warm-up option for regular drivers ahead of more demanding events.

Daily Sprint Races: variety across cars and eras

The Daily Sprint Races lineup continues to emphasize short, action-packed races with fixed setups, prioritizing mechanical parity and close on-track battles. Throughout the day, drivers can choose from a broad mix of classes and circuits:

• Touring Classics at Diepholz
• DTM 1995 at Hockenheim Classic
• BMW M235i at Sonoma Raceway (Free 2 Play)
• Group 5 at Bathurst
• Formula 3 at Laguna Seca
• Silhouette Series at Stowe Circuit Long

Feature Races: longer formats, higher demands

For drivers looking for a bigger challenge, the Feature Races raise the bar with longer race distances and open setups. Two key events stand out this week:

• LMDh + GT3 at Daytona, featuring 30 minutes of multiclass racing with open setups, where traffic management and strategy play a crucial role.
• GT3 at the Nordschleife, following the NLS format: three laps of the full circuit, maximum focus required and very little margin for error.

Both events offer multiple time slots per region, making participation easier across different time zones.

Weekly Races: endurance and strategy throughout the weekend

The Weekly Races format maintains its focus on light endurance events, with longer races and full setup freedom. The schedule is spread across the weekend:

• Friday: Porsche 992 at Monza – 45 minutes
• Saturday: Super Touring at Slovakia Ring – 60 minutes
• Sunday: GT3 at Imola – 45 minutes

All weekly races feature multiple sessions per region, giving drivers greater flexibility when planning their races.

Daytona 2.4H: the 2026 endurance season begins

The highlight of the week is the RaceRoom Daytona 2.4H, the first Special Event of 2026. The race will take place on Saturday, January 31, bringing Hypercars and GT3 cars together in a 144-minute multiclass event on the Daytona Road Course.

With grids split by driver rating, the event is designed to ensure close competition across all splits. Beyond outright pace, factors such as traffic management, strategy, and consistency will be decisive, officially kicking off the endurance season within RaceRoom.

Overall, the new schedule reinforces the simulator’s commitment to a layered competitive ecosystem, capable of welcoming new players while continuing to offer depth and challenge for veteran drivers throughout the week.
