RaceRoom Racing Experience has announced a brief maintenance window as the studio works on backend fixes for its ranked multiplayer systems, a move aimed at improving stability and reliability for competitive online racing.

Alongside the maintenance notice, RaceRoom also confirmed a series of store and content changes that affect both individual track availability and the popular Online Racing Pack.

Laguna Seca Removed Due to Licensing Changes

RaceRoom has confirmed that WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca has been removed from the store due to an expired licensing agreement. While the circuit is no longer available for purchase, the developers have stated they are actively working with the track’s owners to bring it back as soon as possible, although no return date has been announced.

At the same time, RaceRoom has officially revealed that Spa-Francorchamps will return to the simulator, ending a prolonged absence caused by delayed licensing renewal talks. The iconic Belgian circuit, one of the most popular venues in sim racing and real-world motorsport, is expected to reappear soon and may include updates reflecting its current real-life configuration, such as extended run-off areas and revised facilities.

With Laguna Seca leaving the lineup and Spa-Francorchamps set to return, RaceRoom’s track roster is undergoing a notable shift driven purely by licensing circumstances rather than design or gameplay considerations.

Online Racing Pack Gets New Content

As a result of Laguna Seca’s removal, RaceRoom has adjusted the contents of its Online Racing Pack, which is designed to provide access to ranked multiplayer racing.

The following changes have been confirmed:

  • Laguna Seca is replaced by Sonoma Raceway

  • BMW M2 CS is replaced by the BMW M235i

The BMW M235i is described by the studio as a rookie-friendly car, making it particularly suitable for players entering Ranked Multiplayer for the first time.

What This Means for Existing Owners

RaceRoom clarified how these changes will affect players who already own the Online Racing Pack:

  • A new version of the Online Racing Pack will be listed in the store

  • Existing owners of the current pack will be able to purchase Sonoma Raceway and the BMW M235i at a significant discount

This approach ensures that current customers can update their content without having to repurchase the entire pack.

Focus on Stability and Competitive Racing

While the maintenance period is expected to be brief, the ranked backend fixes signal a continued focus on online competition and structured multiplayer racing within RaceRoom. Combined with the updated pack contents and the teased return of a major European circuit, the changes point to an active period of refinement and content adjustments for the platform.

Further details on the ranked updates and upcoming track additions are expected once maintenance concludes.
