RaceU – A Brand New SimRacing Multiplayer System

Many people consider Assetto Corsa as the best racing simulator on the market, both for its great physics engine and virtually infinite content thanks to the mods that are constantly coming out. That is why there are more and more programs and racing systems for this platform that allow us to have a quick experience of ranked races.

What is RaceU?

In this case we bring you a new contender in these services, RaceU, a service that offers scheduled races throughout the day. Currently the service is in beta and everyone can sign up for free and race in any of the series as many times as they want. However, to host championships or private events you will have to pay a monthly subscription.

Among the most promising things about this service are the servers hosted on Amazon services (AWS) with 60Hz refresh rate, something that in theory should offer smoother connections. They also offer a precise matchmaking system so that we can race with other simracers of our level.

The matchmaking system is given by two systems. A rating system, which is basically a license that goes from E to A, where we can go up or down depending on our behavior and results on the track; and a racecraft system that will evaluate the consistency of our laps and the speed we have on the track with respect to the average of the rivals that are in the system.

This type of system is good for everyone, especially in a simulator as acclaimed as Assetto Corsa. The more options there are in the market, the better the quality of them, and we as users will be the main beneficiaries.

Finally, for now this system only uses official Assetto Corsa content, and although you will be able to compete with the base content, you will have more options available if you have all the DLCs. We leave you the link to Eneba where you can get Assetto Corsa Ultimate.

See you on the track!
