The Radical SR10 will be added to the simulator’s vehicle catalog starting tomorrow, which is the first unexpected surprise of the new iRacing season (or when the build is deployed).
Radical Motorsports’ SR10 prototype brings the performance of top-tier sports car and prototype programs to track-day racers and country club members at a fraction of the cost. The British manufacturer’s next-generation sports car takes the already impressive developments of the SR8 and refines them with a new 2.3-liter Ford Ecoboost 2.3-liter engine, a six-speed sequential transmission and other performance enhancements that make the SR10 driving experience comparable to the world’s most impressive professional race cars.
The SR10 produces 425 horsepower with 380 lb-ft of torque, taking it from 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.4 seconds. Weighing just 725 kilograms, its low power-to-weight ratio makes it one of the most agile machines imaginable. And used in numerous single-seater series around the world, there are plenty of places for real-world drivers to develop their SR10 skills and put them into practice.
With this addition, the Radical SR8’s 14-year journey in iRacing comes to an end, having been one of the first cars in the simulator, with one of the best FFB and more grateful to take to the finish line. This SR10 (left-hand drive) should be a worthy successor.
