RENNSPORT – First Gameplay Revealed

With its new simulator “Rennsport,” Munich-based developer Competition Company hopes to take virtual racing to the next stage of evolution.

Today (May 26th, 2022), RENNSPORT has published the first publicly available gameplay footage, which shows a Porsche 911 GT3R being put through its paces at the Hockenheimring.

According to the company’s own website. The brief free-to-play title “Rennsport” will be constructed from the ground up, utilizing the most recent market technology, both graphically and physics-wise. The Unreal Engine 5 will serve as the foundation.

From the start, the firm intends to produce a racing simulator based on the “needs of eSports and the community.” The objective is to build a “ideal racing game” that combines “ultra-realistic simulation racing” with driving enjoyment.

It will also feature a professional broadcasting infrastructure, and clips will be easily shared by the community, boosting the entertainment component as the primary foundation.

Despite the announcement of “amazing brands and real circuits,” the creators do not clarify how they will eventually play out in the free-to-play title, other from the Porsche, BMW, and Hockenheim-Ring logos depicted.

However, the news is still hazy. The races’ realism should be apparent throughout the beta period. We’ll come back with further details once we’ve tried it.

See you on the track!
