Competition Company has revealed new details about the content roadmap for Rennsport in 2026, highlighting the studio’s continued focus on historic vehicles and iconic circuits. Recent images captured during an event in Munich confirm additional additions to the previously announced Endurance Classics and Touring Classics DLC packs, as well as a new track coming to the game.
Earlier, the developers had teased the upcoming inclusion of the Peugeot 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar, signaling an expansion into modern prototype racing. The latest information indicates that the content strategy also prioritizes historic racing machinery, balancing contemporary high-performance cars with classic legends of the sport.
Laguna Seca Joins the Track Roster
The circuit featured in the Munich images is Laguna Seca, one of the most recognizable tracks in international motorsport. The 3.6-kilometer layout is renowned for its technical corners and dramatic elevation changes, with the famous Corkscrew remaining its most iconic feature.
The Corkscrew corner, with an 18-meter drop, has become a benchmark for drivers across multiple disciplines—from endurance racing to single-seaters and motorcycles. Its addition to Rennsport aligns the title with other established simulators that feature Laguna Seca as a first-party track, reinforcing the game’s authenticity and licensed content appeal.
KTM X-Bow GT2: From Track to Simulator
Among the confirmed vehicles is the KTM X-Bow GT2, bringing the Austrian manufacturer KTM into the digital four-wheel arena. Known primarily for motorcycles, KTM ventured into car production in the late 2000s with the X-Bow, originally a lightweight open-cockpit track car.
The X-Bow evolved into GT-spec variants, culminating in the GT2 model, built for the SRO GT2 European Series. Its arrival in Rennsport introduces a high-performance, aerodynamically focused car that emphasizes extreme handling and track precision, providing a distinct contrast to more traditional GTs in the game.
Historic Mercedes Models Strengthen Touring Classics
In-game images also confirm the addition of two historic Mercedes-Benz models: the 190E Evo II and CLK DTM. Although previously speculated in 2025, these images serve as the first official validation within the simulator.
Both cars represent defining eras of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). The 190E Evo II was a dominant force in the early 1990s, while the CLK DTM marked the transition to the modern DTM in the 2000s. Their inclusion suggests they will feature in the Touring Classics DLC pack, focused on historic touring cars.
Release Strategy and Availability
No specific release dates have been announced yet. Official communication indicates that Endurance Classics Part 1 will launch first, including prototypes and legendary GTs, followed by Touring Classics Part 1, which focuses on historic touring machinery.
Players who own the Deluxe Edition will receive both packs at no additional cost, while base-game owners will need to purchase them separately. Rennsport remains available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, maintaining a multiplatform approach uncommon in highly competitive racing simulators.
