Studio 397 has released a new rFactor 2 Free Update August 2023 with the last features. More official detailed information below:
Hey rFactor 2 community,
Firstly, we want to address the elephant in the room: yes, we’re aware that the anticipation for new DLC content is high, and we thank you for your patience. While we’ve been channelling our energy into some vital projects, including Le Mans Ultimate, we haven’t forgotten the essence of rFactor 2 that all of you love. We’re returning to our roots by refining our legacy content. These updates, though minor, are part of our commitment to ensuring the game continues to offer a solid and enjoyable experience.
Let’s explore the enhancements:
Introducing the 2023 Class…
For the Porsche enthusiasts among you, we’ve got a special treat. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) is now dressed in all the official 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain liveries. A stylish update for free, making your race weekends even more authentic.
GTE & GT3 Balance of Performance updates
As part of our ongoing commitment to balanced and thrilling racing, we’ve rolled out Balance of Performance (BoP) updates for both GT3 and GTE car categories. This ensures a more even playing field, enabling cars from diverse manufacturers to race neck-and-neck, making for exciting finishes and tight competition. Whether it’s weight adjustments or engine power tweaks, these updates are tailored to bring the best out of each car while preserving the unique charm of their respective models. We will keep collating data and provide more updates throughout the year.
BTCC Car Updates + Balance of Performance
Changes range from AI grip tweaks, brake system adjustments, tire updates, and more. Each model has had multiple version updates for to ensure better parity and performance. We aimed to bring FWD cars into a more competitive state over race runs.
Toban Raceway Park
Visual tweaks for the rFactor classic Toban Raceway include refined terrain, tree, and road materials. Track elements like AI track limits and pit wall collisions have also been addressed.
NOLA Motorsport Park
You’ll spot fresh atmospherics settings and some new ads on the INDYCAR layout. The camera files and rear view also got a touch-up for a better perspective. Some naming irregularities on layouts C and D have also been straightened out.
Mills Metro
Another stalwart, Mills Metro, is now aglow with improved lighting. The AI track limits, especially around the pit exit, have also been refined.
Atlanta Motorsport Park
Atlanta Motorsport Park shines a bit brighter now with refined visual elements. We’ve also streamlined the AI track limits for a smoother experience.
Loch Drummond
Loch Drummond has received a minor nip and tuck, notably correcting the track limits at the uphill chicane and the pit entry.
Others…
Minor materials updates are also released for the Brabham BT44, March 761 and McLaren M23.
Finally, the Formula ISI is receiving an update to include KERS in the simulations for the first time.
