rFactor 2: New Zolder Track Out Now

rFactor 2 Zolder

For months, some folks thought rFactor 2 was like that kitchen plant we swear we water weekly… yet survives on sheer willpower. And suddenly boom Zolder appears: a track with history, character, and curves that sometimes test your patience more than your reflexes.

The twist? It wasn’t built directly by the in-house team. Instead, an external crew meticulously reconstructed it using LiDAR and point-cloud data to capture every bump, tree line, and curb that’s made real-world drivers mutter under their helmets for decades.

Joy comes with a number: €7.99. Some see it as steep, others as an investment, and a few offer the most honest comparison: “That’s two and a half fancy-bar beers.” In the end, the debate isn’t really about cost it’s about value.

It’s a compact, ~4 km layout narrow, technical, and with vintage personality. It isn’t Spa or the Nordschleife, and maybe that’s why it’s a small, overlooked treasure. It shines with agile cars: think Porsche Cup, Caterham, or even a classic Mini that makes you feel like you’ve time-traveled to the ’70s.

Here’s the curious bit: on one hand, the sim hasn’t seen many big updates recently, leading some to view it as nearing the end of its cycle. On the other, this kind of content proves there’s still a spark in the campfire.

Is it worth paying for? That’s up to you. But one thing feels certain: few circuits make you sweat this much in so few kilometers.

Available now in the rFactor 2 Steam store!
