Rudskogen Motorsenter Joins iRacing as Free Base Content for 2022 Season 4

Rudskogen Motorsenter, Norway’s most important permanent tarmac circuit, will be free to iRacing for the upcoming 2022 S4 season. This means that all iRacing subscribers will be able to race on this track for no additional cost. As a result, the catalogue of base content included in the service will expand even further. Here is iRacing’s press release.

iRacing is pleased to announce the addition of Rudskogen Motorsenter to its content offering from Season 4 in 2022. The Norwegian circuit will join the world’s leading racing simulation experience as content included in all iRacing memberships, meaning that all users will be able to drive on it in all game modes – public races, organised and league sessions, test drives, etc. – immediately after its launch. Rudskogen will also be enabled to play with iRacing’s AI.

For more than 30 years, Rudskogen Motorsenter has been Norway’s oldest asphalt circuit. Opened in May 1990, the circuit is in an ideal location for racing: not only does its wooded terrain provide a picturesque backdrop and an ideal variation in elevation (almost 140 feet), but the circuit’s southern location also allows it to remain open for driving experiences for as long as possible each year. From the Porsche Carrera Cup to Gatebil, it is one of Scandinavia’s most prominent hosts of professional racing events.

After two decades of operation, the track was redesigned by world-renowned circuit designer Hermann Tilke. The resulting 3.254 km, 14-turn circuit is used not only for professional racing and driving events, but also for driver training and track days, and includes Tilke’s characteristic mix of long straights and narrow, technical sections. With an extensive fleet of Porsche and Mercedes GT vehicles, it is an ideal training ground for those looking to gain experience in racing sports cars of all kinds.

Rudskogen Motorsenter will be granted to all iRacing users as base content with the release of the 2022 Season 4 build. It will also be present in various iRacing Week 13 calendars for users to try out at public events before joining the series from Rookie level onwards with the start of the next season.

See you on the track!
