Sim Racing Competitions With Prizes in September 2026

Updated September 20, 2026: several of September’s biggest sim racing prize competitions have now closed, but there are still opportunities to compete for hardware, scholarships and professional esports prize money. The Fanatec Eifel Trophy remains open for qualifying, the first eNASCAR College Time Attack ends today, and World of Outlaws Pro Series qualifying begins on September 21 with a $25,000 championship prize pool.

Earlier this month, sim racers were competing for prizes ranging from a real Toyota Supra to FIA final places and cash races on Le Mans Ultimate. Those entry windows have now passed, so the focus has shifted toward the competitions that can still be entered during the final third of September.

The requirements remain very different. Some competitions require a specific iRacing licence, eNASCAR College is restricted to eligible students, while professional championships such as Porsche Esports Supercup and eNASCAR Coca-Cola are already closed to new entrants.

Fanatec Eifel Trophy qualifying remains open

One of the strongest opportunities still available in September is the Fanatec Eifel Trophy, created by Fanatec in partnership with Black Falcon.

The iRacing Hotlap Qualifier opened on September 14 and remains active until October 4. Competitors use the Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) at the Nürburgring, with the fastest drivers progressing through several stages toward a Grand Final later in the year.

The first stage is a three-week Time Attack. The 25 fastest drivers advance to the competition phase, with the top five from subsequent races earning places in the Grand Final.

Fanatec lists a hardware-focused prize structure. First place receives a CSL Cockpit V1.5 or equivalent Fanatec store credit together with a Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance signed by Black Falcon drivers. Second and third place also receive signed Fanatec steering wheels and store credit, while fourth through eighth receive store vouchers.

The competition requires registration through the official Fanatec x Black Falcon portal, along with the relevant simulator subscription and content.

For iRacing users looking for something they can still enter today, this is now one of the most accessible competitions on this list.

World of Outlaws qualifying starts September 21

A second major opportunity begins immediately after this update.

• The 2026-27 iRacing World of Outlaws Pro Series starts its qualifying programme on September 21, with a total championship prize pool of $25,000.
• The championship has been divided into separate 410 Sprint Car and Super Late Model competitions, each carrying $12,500 in prize money.

Sprint Car qualifying begins on September 21 and runs across five Monday events:

• September 21 – Port Royal Speedway
• September 28 – Cedar Lake Speedway
• October 5 – Lincoln Speedway
• October 12 – Weedsport Speedway
• October 19 – The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Unlike PESC or eNASCAR Coca-Cola, the qualifying route is still available to regular iRacing members. The important restriction is that drivers need a Class A Dirt Oval licence.

After the qualifying programme, the top 35 eligible drivers from each discipline can be invited into their respective Pro Series championship.

eNASCAR College Time Attack ends today

The 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series is currently in the final day of qualifying for its first tournament of the season.

The Peachtree Pursuit Time Attack at EchoPark Speedway runs from September 15 through September 20. The first competition round follows on September 23, with the second stage on September 30.

The complete 2026-27 College Series carries $60,000 in scholarships and expands to eight tournaments.

Six events use NASCAR Trucks, while two IMSA-backed road racing tournaments will feature the Ford Mustang GT4.

This remains one of the largest prize opportunities available to student sim racers, but the September entry window is now effectively at its deadline. Drivers targeting later tournaments will have another opportunity when the Queen City Crown Time Attack opens on September 29.

The FIA Hill Climb qualifier is finished

The FIA Esports European Hill Climb Cup can no longer be entered. Its free RaceRoom qualification period closed on September 7.

The official leaderboard now confirms the eight drivers who qualified for the onsite final in Luxembourg:

The FIA event was particularly accessible because qualifying was free and required neither a competition licence nor an in-game purchase for the qualification stage.

A separate prize competition also offered registered participants the opportunity to win a Next Level Racing GTElite Wheel Plate Edition cockpit.

For new entrants, however, this opportunity is now closed.

The Toyota Supra competition has reached its final

The most unusual prize competition of September is also no longer available to enter.

• Sim Racing Naperville closed qualification for its Toyota Supra competition on September 6 after offering in-person Time Attack attempts at its Illinois facility.
• The fastest 45 eligible drivers were scheduled to compete during Sim Gaming Expo on September 18 and 19, with the final taking place on September 19.

The overall prize is a real Toyota Supra valued at approximately $60,000, rather than a cash equivalent.

As of the morning of September 20, Sim Racing Naperville’s official website still displays its pre-final message telling visitors to watch the September 19 finale and has not yet published the winner on the competition page. We will therefore avoid naming a winner until the organizer publishes a confirmed result.

The competition required drivers to be at least 17, US citizens and primarily resident in the United States. World Championship-level professional sim racers from the previous ten years and professional national-level real-world racing drivers were excluded.

The Virtual Esport LMU event changed after publication

There has also been an important correction to the Virtual Esport Le Mans Ultimate League 1 information originally published in this guide.

The event page initially listed a September 13 race with €400 in cash prizes. The same official page has since been updated and now lists the event as taking place on September 17 with €500 in cash prizes.

It used GT3 machinery on a privately hosted Le Mans Ultimate server, with a 30-minute practice, 12-minute qualifying session and 60-minute race.

The event page currently lists 18 participants and the competition date has already passed, so it should now be treated as closed rather than an available September entry.

Porsche Esports Supercup is now underway

The 2026 Porsche Esports Supercup World Championship began at Spa-Francorchamps on September 19 and continues at Silverstone on September 26.

The 32-driver field was selected through the earlier regional championships, meaning there is no September entry route for new drivers.

PESC carries a $30,000 total prize pool. The World Champion receives $10,000, with further cash prizes distributed through the top positions.

There is also a real-world motorsport pathway attached to the championship. Porsche can select up to five World Championship competitors for its Talent Shoot-Out, from which two drivers can progress to testing in real racing machinery.

One candidate can ultimately receive Porsche Motorsport support toward a real-world racing programme in 2027.

eNASCAR heads to Kansas after Texas

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series has also moved deeper into its playoff phase.

Texas Motor Speedway hosted the second playoff race on September 15, where Quentin Warman scored his first career eNASCAR Coca-Cola victory.

The result was especially significant because Warman is not one of the drivers competing for a Championship 4 position, meaning no additional playoff driver automatically secured a final berth at Texas.

Defending champion Steven Wilson had already qualified for the Championship 4 after winning at Michigan. That leaves three championship finale positions still to be decided when the series visits Kansas Speedway on September 22.

The championship operates within a $500,000 programme, with $100,000 awaiting the eventual champion at the October finale.

This remains a professional championship with no direct entry route for new competitors this month.

Which September sim racing competitions can you still enter?

As of September 20, 2026, the useful list is much shorter than it was at the beginning of the month.

• Fanatec Eifel Trophy: the iRacing Hotlap Qualifier remains open until October 4, with the top 25 progressing toward the Grand Final.
• eNASCAR College: September 20 is the final day of the Peachtree Pursuit Time Attack for eligible college competitors.
• World of Outlaws Pro Series: 410 Sprint Car qualifying starts September 21 and is open to iRacing members with a Class A Dirt Oval licence.
• eNASCAR College Queen City Crown: the next Time Attack opens September 29 for drivers who miss the first tournament.

September’s biggest headline opportunities such as the Toyota Supra competition, FIA Hill Climb qualifier and Virtual Esport LMU cash race have now closed. For drivers still looking to compete before the month ends, the Fanatec Eifel Trophy and World of Outlaws qualifying programme are currently the clearest active routes.

Entry requirements, required game content, licence levels and regulations can change, so competitors should always check the official competition rules before purchasing content or committing to an event.
