The SimRacing Expo has unleashed a wave of enthusiasm and marked the entry of numerous brands into the market. What we’ve seen is that many brands are keen to secure a significant share of the pie, with strong competition in terms of steering wheels, wheelbases, pedals, cockpits, and more.
In this post, we’ll focus on the high-end steering wheels on display, as there are some real gems.
Asetek Invicta Formula
We’ve reviewed it here, and it’s undoubtedly the best product from this company so far. Nothing was left to chance, and the integrations and details make it one of the finest products we’ve tested.
- You can buy it on their official website (with a 5% discount using SIMRACER.ES)
- Asetek Invicta Formula for €1512.49
Fanatec Podium Bentley GT3
After years of development and testing on its real-life counterpart, the Bentley GT3 steering wheel is finally available for purchase. Like its BMW predecessor, it’s designed to be directly usable in the actual car. The most eye-catching feature—although not the most practical—is the rotating panel.
Pricing and Availability
- Fanatec EU: Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 (€1999.95)
- Fanates US: Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 ($1999.95)
- Fanatec AUS: Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 ($3,399.95)
Moza Racing Lamborghini Essenza SCV12
A recent collaboration brings its first fruits with this replica steering wheel, inspired by the real-life counterpart. This is Moza’s most expensive product to date (excluding wheelbases) and is likely one of their best. We’ll see if we can get our hands on it soon.
You can buy it from Moza Racing shop by clicking here for 1299 dollars or 1399 eur.
Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Ultimate
An upgraded version of the GT4 model used in the race car, now featuring a screen. We already reviewed this beauty on our platform and was left with a fantastic impression. Unfortunately, it had to return to Germany—we miss it.
You can buy it on the Ascher Racing website for 1499 euros or on Simufy with a 2% discount using our code SFYOPTF7ZMR98:
And the other variants:
- Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Sport
- Ascher Racing McLaren Artura GT4
- Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Pro
Trak Racer BWT Alpine F1 Team A522
The Australian brand is diving fully into the hardware market, preparing pedals, wheelbases, and steering wheels for their launch. What better way to showcase their collaboration with Alpine than with a replica of the real F1 wheel, slated for release in 2025.
Cube Controls Mercedes-AMG Esports Edition
The Italian brand, partnered with Mercedes Esports, is licensed to create exciting designs like these, some of which are even adapted for use in real vehicles.
Sim-Lab Mercedes-AMG F1
Also collaborating with Mercedes, but this time with the F1 branch, is Richard Schouteren’s brand, offering a detailed replica of the steering wheel used by Hamilton and Russell. A flawless product that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
We hope to test it soon. At the moment you can preorder for 2699 euros by clicking here:
VPG Ford Mustang GT3
A replica of the real GT3 model, adding one more piece to the growing collection of current models that we can use at home. It’s exactly like the competition version, only adapted for simRacing.
Thrustmaster Hypercar Wheel Add-On
Though at a lower tier, Thrustmaster presented what they consider to be their best wheel rim to date. This Hypercar configuration allows them to break into the mid-range market with an excellent commercial offering.
Available for purchase in the Thrustmaster store. Shipping won’t start until well into November.

In this article Sim Racing: High-End Steering Wheels on the Horizon. The author refers to Trak Racer as an American brand. When it’s an Australian company?
Yep, fixed.
Disgraceful is the only word I have for this entire B.S. over priced sim steering wheel market.
Pricing a controller @ $1k up to $3k is a flat out rip off.
If they kept the over all price down to allow more people to purchase these products they would show they cared about the greater Sim-racing community and make more money in sales.
I am a average adult simracer and I can’t justify paying more than $500 to $699 on a top of the line wheel that has some kind of life long quality warranty on it.
Even then I would shop used to get it as half price in that price window.
This kind of thing will be the down fall of sim-racing as a whole.
People who do get past a entry level affordable setup price point $200-$400 for wheel, base, pedals to move to a higher end DD, cockpit rig $2k-4k no motion will not continue to invest if they know the top esports guys have all the motion rig stuff, active pedals all around, best DD’s, seats, shifters, monitors, PC’s, steering wheels, active seat belts, wind simulators and haptics as these guys have so much more control and feel of the sim making winning just a little bit easier.
It’s not a fair competition because with out that extra input you will just be mission out of key FFB and haptic input from so many different parts of the sim.
