The 2025 Lineup: An Absurd and Beautiful Roster
Let’s start with the obvious: the list of active, relevant titles today is ridiculous.

ACE, Rennsport, ACR, LMU, AMS2, ACC, iRacing.
If someone had told me ten years ago, I would have assumed those were satellite names or vitamin supplements. But no: they’re all simulators with their own ambition. And that’s wonderful… and exhausting.

ACE is like that talented kid in school who plays guitar, gets good grades, and runs track, but no one knows what career he’ll choose.
It has potential, it has charisma, it has open-world dreams. What it doesn’t have yet is shape. It’s in that stage where everything is speculation.

ACR doesn’t play in the same arena as the others. It’s rally, pure and simple. Technically it doesn’t compete with the ones going “in circles,” yet it has managed to excite even those GT3 lifers.

It’s compact, focused, and well-built the opposite of ACE’s giant ambitions. And that has served it very well.
LMU and AMS2: The Responsible Adults Holding the Conversation Together
LMU arrived with structure, seriousness, and a career plan. AMS2, meanwhile, is the veteran who has grown, improved, and found its identity after a bumpy start.

Let me be honest: it depends on the day.
Some days I feel the community is more fragmented than ever. Three friends want to play together: one wants ACC, another is glued to ACR, and the third already shut down his PC because he’s frustrated with the matchmaking of something else.
But then there are other days where I think:
“When have we ever had this many options? When could you choose between open-world, rally, esports, single-player, pure GT3, endurance, or a modding sandbox… all powered by modern engines?”
Fragmentation is the price of abundance, but also the proof that the scene is alive. Very alive.
A Golden Age? Yes. Oversaturation? Also Yes.
It’s a strange balance, like dining at a buffet with too many great dishes: you’ll leave happy, yes… but also feeling like you didn’t get to try everything you wanted.
And you know what? Maybe that’s not a bad thing.
The simracing scene in 2025 isn’t a monolith. It’s an ecosystem full of styles, philosophies, engines, technologies, ambitions, and different audiences.
We’ve never had this much choice. Never have small studios been able to dream this big. And never have players been able to break routine by hopping between such distinct experiences.
We’re not facing a problem. We’re facing a luxury with side effects.
Yes, there are more titles than we can handle.
Yes, it can be exhausting to keep up with all of them.
Yes, there’s noise, debates, comparisons, exaggerations, and impossible expectations.
But there’s also creativity, innovation, healthy competition, and an industry refusing to stagnate.
