The Sim Racing Expo has unleashed a wave of enthusiasm, with numerous brands entering the market.

What has become evident is that many companies are eager to capture a substantial market share, making strong investments in wheels, wheelbases, pedals, cockpits, and more.

In this post, we’ll focus on the new wheelbases showcased or announced during the event.

Sim-Lab attended the SRE in Dortmund and showcased its wheelbases to the public:

People were thrilled with the feel and precision of our products, and we’ve confirmed that our next-generation torque control and advanced motor are meeting expectations.

We also officially revealed the specs for the three models set to launch at the end of 2025:

3 Direct Drive Wheelbase Models + Prices

  • 15Nm for €1,000
  • 25Nm for €1,400
  • 35Nm for €2,500

It’s important to note that it’s not just about achieving a maximum torque of 35Nm. What really matters is the range available at lower torque levels, providing smoother and more controlled FFB (Force Feedback) across all levels. The unique motor characteristics truly set it apart, which impressed everyone who tried it.

One of the major updates we’re excited to introduce is data transfer capability within the Direct Drive wheelbase, which expands the ecosystem for users and third-party accessories. This step focuses on making our platform more flexible and future-ready, an aspect that drew a lot of excitement at the expo.

SimXperience AccuForce Extreme

It looks like a new AccuForce is on its way:

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you. Remember how we revolutionized sim racing with the first commercial direct-drive wheel package? Get ready to level up with the AccuForce Extreme!

Why Professionals Love It:

The AccuForce Extreme has been the secret weapon of professionals for years. Developed and perfected over the past four years, this beast is now ready for your simulator. Most sim racing games have advanced enough to handle it as well.

  • Unmatched Performance: Say goodbye to dialing down force just to get a stable experience in high-end sim games! The AccuForce Extreme delivers maximum usable torque, fully leveraging every detail. After all, what’s the point of a 20-40Nm wheel if you have to lower it to 16Nm just to get it to work properly? That’s simply a waste of torque resolution and money. The AccuForce Extreme provides you with all the USABLE power and precision you want right from the start.
  • Professional-Grade Technology: Designed with feedback from racing teams, it’s been our behind-the-scenes powerhouse, now tuned just for you.
  • Flexibility: With a power range of 300 to 1000 watts, the AccuForce Extreme can be configured at various force levels. Tell us how much torque you prefer and why.
  • We’re excited to see how the AccuForce Extreme elevates your sim racing experience!

Thrustmaster Direct Axial Drive T598

Thrustmaster is launching a new wheelbase concept this month, aiming to revolutionize the market. Priced affordably, it’s a complete package with PlayStation 5 compatibility. We’ll see how this development unfolds and look forward to testing it in the future.

DIRECT AXIAL DRIVE MOTOR

With an axial-flow motor, the Direct Axial Drive represents the next generation of Direct Drive motors for sim racing, allowing smooth, vibration-free movement in the wheel. The result: high-fidelity Force Feedback with sharper effects. Instantly feel every detail with greater accuracy and intensity.

NEXT-GENERATION FEEDBACK SENSATIONS

The 5Nm constant torque has an overdrive capacity of +100%, greatly enhancing power and providing boosted effects with an ultra-low 5ms latency. HARMONY technology generates high-frequency vibrations, letting you feel the entire game physics down to the smallest detail. Rough edges and tire squeal have never felt so intense.

The T598 is available for purchase on Thrustmaster’s store for €499 and will ship at the end of November.
