SimRacing Gloves: F33L SR2 Review

Here in boxthislap.org we have proposed different types of gloves, from those designed for hoops with excessive friction and that require strength, to those that use other types of more relaxed bases that do not require your best muscles. The F33L we are analysing today are part of the group of gloves designed for simracing. Their purpose and price are designed to complement a home hobby, and that, they do it quite well.

Made in Asia but with an English design, these F33L SR2 gloves are part of the wide range of options we have for gloves that use bicycle gloves as their base. They are made on the same basis as others we already know, but they have some very interesting additions that may make you look at them differently.

The usual construction of three pieces of different fabrics is repeated here. With a back, a palm and a finger fleas of different materials and textures. The back is made of a breathable material that allows for knuckle flexibility, while the palm and thumb are designed to maximize grip and protect these two parts from excessive friction. Thumb and index finger have an added feature for handling mobile devices, which at least in these gloves, works.

The major difference with other gloves in this price range comes in the palm, where the rubber (silicon) additions allow for maximum grip (so much so that you get stuck) to the wheel. This makes it impossible for it to slip through our hands. In the part near the wrist has been extended the area of the Velcro, being also this less likely to make pellets in other fabrics.

The external part shines for its personalized design for the brand and its details in relief. The colors are well chosen in different combinations and match the spirit of racing with the usual red, blue and white or green.

The only drawback I have found, perhaps derived from the dates we meet, is that they are not the freshest gloves you will find. Perhaps in part the material of the palm and the rubber, which in exchange for protection creates an increase in temperature.

They are priced at 25 pounds + about 6 pounds shipping, which makes them an interesting alternative. As always in these cases remember to choose the right size and that it fits as closely as possible to your size.
