Simucube has announced a new version of its tuner, a unified version that will control all devices in its ecosystem.
Simucube releases Simucube Tuner 2.5, one of the biggest software updates in Simucube’s history – an all-in-one software to simplify racing with auto-switch profiles and many new features. This update gives full control over all Simucube 2 wheelbases, ActivePedals, and all Simucube Wireless Wheels (Simucube, Ascher, SimCore, SimLine, SimRacingBay & more).
What is new?
- One software for everything
Control your wheelbase, pedals, and wireless wheels without switching between different programs. - Auto-switch profiles
Tuner detects your sim and car, adjusting settings instantly. Available in all ActivePedal and Simucube 2 wheelbase versions. - Steering wheel button mapping and LED-profiles
Use Simucube Wireless Wheels with any wheelbase via Simucube Link Hub. No more remapping in game when you switch wireless wheels. You can also now create very advanced LED profiles in Tuner. - Improved user interface
A new Overview page for faster navigation and auto-switch profile management—and many other UX improvements. - New ActivePedal profiles & Torque linearity filter:
Suite of professionally designed ActivePedal profiles for esports and real-life drifting, and torque linearity filter available now for Simucube 2 Pro and Sport.
“We are thankful for our community for participating in Tuner 2.5. Open Beta, and giving us great feedback, which helped us immensely. Keep your voices loud, because we are really, really listening.”
– Alen Plehandzic, lead designer, UI/UX Designer
Simucube 2 wheelbases now in Tuner
Simucube 2 wheelbases continue to provide the legendary accurate force feedback, and instinctive and intuitive driving feel they are known for —surpassing conventional product lifespans by several multiples. Now you have no need for multiple softwares anymore—all Simucube 2 wheelbases work seamlessly in Tuner:
- Simucube 2 Sport
- Simucube 2 Pro
- Simucube 2 Ultimate
- Simucube 2 Pro x Team Redline
- Simucube 2 Pro x Cooler Master
Automatic profile switching now works on all Simucube 2 wheelbases.
Torque linearity filter, now available for all Simucube 2 Pro and Sport models.
True Drive and Paddock users – What changes?
Tuner 2.5 includes all True Drive core features. While True Drive will still receive bug fixes, new features will only be added to Tuner.
- True Drive offline profiles can be imported into Tuner.
- Paddock online profiles can be downloaded, but not uploaded yet.
Simucube is rebuilding the Paddock cloud sharing system to support more devices.
“Automatic profile switching has been requested by the community a lot and for a long time, and finally we had all the components to implement it: the telemetry data from the games – which cars to use – and now that Simucube 2 is also in Tuner, we can implement this system for all of our devices.”
– Lassi Hämäläinen, software architect, senior software developer
“Torque linearity filter allows to reduce or boost the lower small torque signals, and it was previously only available for Simucube 2 Ultimate models. Now we were able to bring it to Sport and Pro models too.”
– Joni Hämäläinen, junior software designer
Simucube Wireless Wheels with major improvements
Tuner 2.5 has support for all Simucube Wireless Wheels from:
- Simucube (Tahko & Valo)
- Ascher
- SimRacingBay
- SimCore & more
Check Simucube website for the full list of Simucube Wireless Wheels.
You can use any wheelbase with all of these Simucube Wireless Wheels by connecting them wirelessly into Simucube Link Hub: https://simucube.com/simucube-
Button remapping now works for all of these wheels, when they are connected via Simucube Link Hub, so no more remapping in game when you switch between wireless wheels. You can now buy Simucube Link Hub from Simucube as a separate device.
We also created a completely new LED-profile tool for Valo GT-23 wheel that allows very advanced LED-profile designs.
“You can remap all buttons as you like. If you use multiple wheels, the buttons keep the same functions when you switch—no need to set them up again in the simulator or game.”
– Antti Pulakka, senior software engineer
ActivePedals with auto-switch & new profiles
Simucube pedal lineup has already been in Tuner software:
- Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate
- Simucube ActivePedal Pro
- Simucube Throttle
Automatic profile switching now works for all ActivePedal versions. We separated the profiles for brake, clutch, and throttle for easier combinations.
New ActivePedal profiles that are released along with the update:
- Esports: Team Redline / Sam Kuitert / GT3
- Esports: Team Redline / Diogo Pinto / GT3 Cup
- Esports: Team Redline / Gianni Vecchio / GT3
- Motorsports: Keski-Korpi Motorsport / Mika Keski-Korpi / Drifting
Team Redline boasts a roster of talented and experienced sim racers from all over the world. Their new profiles focus for competitive advantage and instinctive vehicle control in esports.
Mika Keski-Korpi competes in Drift Masters European Championship series. His new ActivePedal profile replicates his real racing car.
