Super Woden Rally Edge is now available on consoles. The arcade racing game developed by ViJuDa launched digitally today, September 2, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, alongside a Windows release through the Xbox ecosystem.

The console versions had already been confirmed earlier this year, but today’s launch significantly expands the audience for a game that has been available on Steam since January.

Eastasiasoft has set the digital price at $14.99 / €14.99, with a 10% launch discount available on selected platforms and regions. On the US Xbox Store, for example, the game is currently reduced from $14.99 to $13.49 for the launch period.

Physical editions are also being prepared for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Eastasiasoft officially says those copies will begin shipping in October 2026, while retail listings currently point to October 30.

Super Woden Rally Edge is out now on consoles

The September 2 release covers a particularly broad range of hardware. Super Woden Rally Edge is now available digitally for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, while Microsoft users also gain access through Xbox on PC.

The Xbox version includes several additional platform features. It is Optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Xbox Play Anywhere is particularly useful because a compatible digital purchase provides access across Xbox and Windows PC within Microsoft’s ecosystem, with cloud-save functionality allowing progress to move between supported devices.

The Xbox Store also lists 4K Ultra HD, 60 fps+, local multiplayer for two to four players, Xbox achievements and cloud saves among its supported features.

Nintendo has also confirmed the September 2 release through its official eShop listing, with local play for up to four players and a download size of approximately 1.4 GB on the original Nintendo Switch.

The physical edition includes all three Super Woden games

The physical release is arguably the most interesting option for players who have followed the series from the beginning.

Rather than simply putting Rally Edge on a disc or cartridge, the PS5 and Nintendo Switch physical editions will include:

  • Super Woden GP
  • Super Woden GP 2
  • Super Woden Rally Edge
  • The original soundtracks from all three games

Eastasiasoft confirms that Super Woden GP and Super Woden GP 2 will be included directly on the physical media alongside Rally Edge, effectively turning the release into a collection of the current Super Woden series.

The first two games had previously been packaged together for Nintendo Switch as the Super Woden GP Collection, but adding Rally Edge makes this the most complete physical version of the series so far.

Pre-orders are being handled with publishing partner Funbox Media. Eastasiasoft officially states that physical copies will begin shipping in October 2026, while current retail listings indicate an October 30 release.

Rally Edge changes the Super Woden formula

Although it shares its identity with Super Woden GP and Super Woden GP 2, Rally Edge is not simply another entry using exactly the same format.

The traditional isometric viewpoint has been replaced by a behind-the-car perspective, with rally stages, hill climbs and time-based events becoming the main focus.

Several familiar Super Woden systems remain. Players navigate events through an old-school world map, purchase cars, upgrade and customize their garage, record times on online leaderboards and use winnings to unlock progressively more demanding events.

The game also includes a photo mode and local split-screen multiplayer for up to four players.

Its driving model remains deliberately arcade-focused rather than attempting to compete with dedicated rally simulators. The cars are fictional rather than officially licensed, while the progression and vehicle-collecting elements continue the approach established by ViJuDa’s earlier games.

From PC success to PlayStation, Xbox and Switch

Super Woden Rally Edge originally launched on Steam on January 15, 2026, where it has built a particularly strong reception.

As of September 2, the game has accumulated more than 1,500 Steam user reviews, with 96% rated positively and an overall “Overwhelmingly Positive” classification.

The console conversion and worldwide publishing are being handled by Eastasiasoft alongside ViJuDa, turning what began as a PC-only January release into a much wider multiplatform game less than eight months later.

For Xbox players, Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere make the release especially flexible. PlayStation users can choose between PS4 and PS5 versions, while Switch owners now have both the digital edition and an upcoming physical collection to consider.

At $14.99 / €14.99, the digital version remains positioned as a relatively inexpensive arcade racer, while the physical PS5 and Switch editions are aimed more directly at collectors and existing fans of the Super Woden series.

With the digital versions now available, the next date to watch is October, when the physical editions containing all three Super Woden games are scheduled to begin shipping.
