Greg West announced the closure of the Formula Renault 2.0 series in a post on the official iRacing forums a few days ago. After this suspension, it will be re-evaluated to see if it should be reactivated or kept in this state. With so many single seaters currently in service, and the IR-04 having taken over much of the field, FR2.0 is all but extinct.
The series is currently taking place at Oulton Park, and even with a free circuit, the series cannot consistently hold official races. The series only has official races in about three or four of the time blocks per day. It is unknown whether the car will be withdrawn or made available in the future, but we recommend that you do not purchase it and instead purchase the IR-04.
