If you can remember, a couple of years ago, we were shocked by an impressive disrupture technology in Direct Drive Wheelbases. Cammus changed the paradigm, moving the mechanism to the wheelside and making it possible to develop a cheaper (and portable) Direct Direct Steering Wheel. Now, we have an upgrade of that Cammus C5, which is already available for pre-order.
Mainly, five points where the Cammus staff has worked to solve the issues that the base user detected. We expect this refreshed version could be a nice alternative to the traditional wheelbases.
- Firstly, the new C5 features upgraded paddle shifters, replacing the previous small plastic ones with larger iron ones.
- Secondly, we’ve also modified the center knob. (This isn’t a fixed design; we’re still selecting more styles and may change it in future production batches.)
- Thirdly, the green stripe in the center and leather stitching of the steering wheel have been replaced with green.
- Fourthly, the lower portion of the steering wheel has been adjusted; the new model has no gap.
- Finally, all new orders from now on will be shipped with this new one. And its price was increased by $10 on our website. Now is $269 per set.
