Cammus has been improving the quality of its product line in recent years. Now, we have an upgrade of the Cammus LC100 pedals, which is already available for pre-order.

There have been several improvements, and Cammus has sent us a bunch of documents detailing every one of them. You can read them below.

Smaller base plate size

The width was reduced from 364mm to 334mm;
The corresponding packaging box was also reduced.

Pedal base optimization

The pedal base is optimized to solve the following problems:
1. It is convenient to maintain and replace the Hall encoder board, and it is easy to disassemble and assemble (the old model is inconvenient to disassemble and assemble, which is very troublesome).
2. It solves the problem of abnormal signals caused by magnetic axis (the old model is prone to abnormal signals after the top is loose).

Pedal limit

For old pedals, the pedal depth can only be adjusted by adjusting the height of the gasket or the compression of the compression spring.
Disadvantages:
1. The guide rod is subjected to large force and is easy to bend or even break;
2. Adjusting the compression of the compression spring will make the foot feel heavier or lighter;
3. The receiving seat (as shown by the left arrow in the figure) is subjected to excessive force and is prone to deformation;

The new pedal has a limit sleeve to adjust the depth of pedaling (adjust by moving forward and backward). You can also replace a larger/smaller limit sleeve for adjustment (as shown by the right arrow in the figure). After adjustment, the foot feel remains unchanged, the pedaling depth changes, and the guide rod is not subject to the main load-bearing force; the limit sleeve can be replaced if it is damaged

Brake pedal optimization

The old brake pedal has a complex structure of the load cell, and the difference between the pedal force and the force the sensor bears is too large; the spring and rubber block are exposed. The load cell is exposed.

The new brake pedal has a simple structure, the pedaling force and the force borne by the sensor are close, and the force distribution is reasonable; the spring and rubber block are wrapped in a metal sleeve, which is beautiful; the weighing sensor is wrapped in a cover.

Brake feel adjustment accessories

Equipped with 3 types of rubber blocks: soft 60A, medium 70A, and hard 80A, and soft and hard compression springs;
Factory default configuration: medium hardness 70A rubber block + hard compression spring

The foot feels more comfortable than the old version

Foot optimization

The old pedals cannot be moved up and down

The sole of the new pedal can be adjusted up and down (the default installation position is the middle position)

Harness optimization

Old pedal has many external wiring harnesses

The new pedal has relatively few external wiring harnesses, and the throttle wiring harness is changed to internal wiring (hidden)

Summary

  • The LC100 sensor (Hall encoder + load cell) has been upgraded from 100kg to 200kg.
  • Performance has been significantly improved:
    • Tensile load capacity increased by 81.8%
    • Torsional stiffness increased by 207%
    • Fatigue strength increased by 47.6%
  • The price has increased by about 30%.
  • The current retail price on the official website is $339 per set.
  • The pedal damper rod has been upgraded from M6 to M8, increasing its diameter. (Bolder than the previous one)
