Thrusmaster Direct Drive Wheel – Third Teaser Released

Third and insufferable teaser until we get to the official announcement of something tangible with pictures of the complete pack. No more dates for the next one and no more dates for the release or until there is availability on the market or in stores. In the meantime, Fanatec is selling the CSL DD and GT DD PRO at full blast.

Thrustmaster shows us today the colors and the RGB of the new hexagonal aesthetic trim that tastes very little to us. Looking at the dates we can plant us at the end of the year, even more aggravated by the crisis of components and the wars we have to the east.

This new teaser shows an RGB system similar to some peripherals such as cooling, RAM or keyboards.

We expand, with explicit information that is implied in that image due to the confusion it is causing:

  • No date for the latest announcement. Release in 2022 with no date.
  • All current Thrustmaster add-ons are compatible, so the connection system is the same although the Quick Release varies.
  • The hexagonal shape light is because of the shape of the base (if you increase the brightness it looks complete), which is also hexagonal and maintains grooves on 3 of its sides to increase cooling to the shape that the CSL DD has. The hexagonal shape means that it can only be anchored in lower to current trays.
  • The hexagonal shaped light is almost certainly an aesthetic adornment (with RGB) that is part of the base on its front and perhaps also rear.
  • The base is announced for PC, as a PlayStation product entails more time due to Sony’s involvement and licensing.
  • The hashtag #STARTINGLIGHTS could refer to the lights on the right, so that leaves the latest announcement and launch.

At the moment it seems that’s all.
