A title that could have been “Thrustmaster posts a tweet” or “Thrustmaster shows us a drawing” and in this era of teasers and such one no longer knows what to think. Companies try to heat months ahead of their releases and we end up with the hype can not be artificially maintained without causing public indifference.
Let’s put ourselves in context when a few weeks ago Fanatec and Thrustmaster exchanged messages following the announcement of the Fanatec CSL DD. Many hoped that the company could counterattack with something similar, although from here we do not believe that it is in the plans to change its technology at this very moment. So now with this teaser, and knowing that Thrustmaster’s catalog is huge with gaming, simRacing and air simulation products, speculation can run wild.
Is it a pause or a 2? Is it the new Netflix? Will it be hardware for simRacing, and if so, what product could it be? Too many open questions. We will debate about it in coming dates.
At the moment the only thing we really know is that the global launch of the Ferrari SF1000 licensed hoop has been placed at the end of August, the 26th to be precise. Hopefully by then there will be support from the main sims, we will have a decent stock and we won’t have to look for units on the black market.
