Thrustmaster will show a DD base this year

Thrustmaster has shown on Twitter what they expect to launch or announce in the last half of the year as a response to Fanatec and its brilliant CSL range move. This comes after some intensive months of passive fight.

Summarizing what we have seen;

  1. Fanatec announced an entry Direct Drive device
  2. Thrustmaster announced a new steering wheel base
  3. T-GT II seems to be a very subtle upgrade from first model
  4. Leaked pictures from an unknown GT DD PRO, a licensed CSL DD for PS5
  5. Fanatec and Gran Turismo sign a new agreement

After this chronology finally Thrustmaster has confirmed what people was waiting for:

Three new simRacing products will be announced or shown before the end of the year.

  1. Set of racing multiplatform pedals
  2. Bundle of base, steering wheel and pedals compatible with every console and PC
  3. A new Direct Drive base

There are so many questions to be answered yet, like price ranges, reference products, ecosystem compatibility and release dates of these products, but at least they are working hard to catch up rest of the manufacturers.
