Tracks are missing in iRacing

With the upcoming addition of Magny Cours to iRacing, the catalog of road circuits continues to grow, but there are some real gems in other simulators that have yet to be introduced to the North American title and that leave the door open for future additions.

Autopolis

A circuit with an odd Japanese flavor, reminiscent of the best sectors of Motegi or Okayama at times. Kawasaki now owns the company. It’s especially enjoyable for small displacement cars because you can adjust every apex and exit of the curves. It has very technical sectors where a driver’s skill can shine through and make the difference. Gran Turismo 7 supports it.

Fuji Speedway

Update: Already in development.

Toyota owns the circuit at the foot of the sacred mountain, where the chances of precipitation are very high all year. It was raced in F1 for two years under authentic waterspouts and is notable for being a very unusual circuit with long straights and a very twisty last sector. Gran Turismo 7 includes it.

Macao

A classic among urban racing classics. Because of the extreme difficulty of succeeding there, the Chinese circuit of the former Portuguese colony is one of the annual races’ benchmarks. A track with some of the world’s slowest curves and no room for error. Raceroom is now open.

Paul Ricard

If there is one thing we all agree on, it is how much we dislike this circuit. A visual nightmare that has made its way into Formula One and other high-level events. Its loops and multiple layouts make it perplexing and irritating. Available in Assetto Corsa Competizione and Raceroom.

Kyalami

The South African circuit has improved significantly since it was taken over by Porsche, and its reform has re-established it as a venue for high-level races. A classic aroma of great F1 moments that has returned in the last three years with the GT. Available in Assetto Corsa Competizione and Raceroom.

Slovakia Ring

One of the WTCR’s regulars, meeting all of the top categories’ requirements and with a nearly 6-kilometer layout that is ready for anything. Just minutes from the Bratislava airport, this place is very entertaining and full of possibilities. Raceroom is now open.

Motorland Aragón

One of Spain’s hidden treasures. It was designed by Tilke and is located in the town of Alcaiz. It has all of the FIA and FIM certifications and hosts the Aragon GP of Moto GP. Raceroom is now open.

Jerez

What can one say about one of the national geography’s timeless classics? The now-named ngel Nieto circuit is a unique circuit where great moments from several of the most difficult competitions have occurred. Only available in Automobilista 2.

Adelaida

One of Australia’s most recognizable and amusing urban areas was absorbed by Melbourne’s F1 wager. We can still see Supercars speeding through the city streets and recall the F1 battles of the 1990s. Only available in Automobilista 2.
