Polyphony Digital has shown the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo running inside Gran Turismo 7 for the first time ahead of its arrival with the October Spec IV update. New footage of the electric concept was presented during Round 3 of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series in Singapore on October 3.
The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will be one of six new cars included in the first part of Spec IV, alongside Sportsland SUGO and several new features. Polyphony Digital has not yet announced the exact release date or revealed the complete October car lineup.
Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo makes its GT7 deb
Unlike the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra already available in Gran Turismo 7, the Vision Gran Turismo was created specifically for Polyphony Digital’s long-running concept car programme. Xiaomi describes it as an electric hypercar built around aerodynamic efficiency rather than the limitations of a production road car.

The design uses a very low body surrounding a teardrop-shaped cockpit, with large internal air channels guiding airflow through the car. At the rear, a halo-shaped light is integrated into a large air outlet, while Xiaomi’s Active Wake Control System uses micro-perforations to influence airflow according to vehicle speed and direction.
The wheels are also designed around aerodynamics and cooling. Xiaomi’s Accretion Rims combine aerodynamic covers with turbine-style internal structures intended to direct air towards the brakes while reducing the turbulence created by rotating wheel surfaces.
Inside, Xiaomi uses what it calls a “Sofa Racer” concept. The cabin combines a performance-focused driving position with a more comfortable interior design, using 3D-knitted materials and an interface built around Xiaomi Pulse and HyperVision technologies.

How much of that functionality will be represented directly inside GT7 remains unclear. Polyphony has so far focused on showing the exterior design and the car running in-game rather than detailing its final cockpit functions or performance figures.
Xiaomi expands its Gran Turismo presence
The Vision Gran Turismo continues a partnership that has already brought the production-based Xiaomi SU7 Ultra ’25 to GT7. That car joined the simulator in January 2026, giving Xiaomi its own section inside Brand Central.
The Vision GT takes the collaboration in a different direction. It was developed without the normal packaging, homologation and production restrictions of a road car, allowing Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital to explore a much more extreme interpretation of an electric performance vehicle.
Xiaomi says it became the 36th brand to participate in Vision Gran Turismo and created the programme’s 51st concept. It is also the first Chinese brand and the first technology company to join the project.
The collaboration was originally announced in 2025, with a full-size physical version of the car later displayed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2026. The Singapore presentation now provides the first proper look at its transition from physical concept to playable GT7 vehicle.
The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will arrive as part of the October half of Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV. That update will also add Sportsland SUGO, six cars in total, a new opening movie and features including Vintage, Car Concierge, Experience and Car Viewer. A second Spec IV update will follow in December with another six cars and Autumn Ring.
Polyphony Digital has not yet published the Xiaomi’s final power output, weight, Performance Points, Brand Central price or in-game category.
