The arrival of Assetto Corsa Evo version 0.3 marks an important moment: for the first time, we can access its multiplayer as we announced to you briefly last week. Read the detailed note below for pricing information and more.

The wait is finally over: Assetto Corsa EVO 0.3 is now available on Steam as part of the Early Access program!

This third release offers a first taste of multiplayer racing, along with a comprehensive overhaul of physics and audio, improved UI, and a major content drop that brings nine new vehicles and two world-renowned race circuits.

Multiplayer is here

The most anticipated feature of AC EVO 0.3 has arrived: online racing.
In this first phase, players can jump straight into public servers — available and free to join 24/7 — directly from the game’s main menu, inside the Multiplayer section. Each race currently supports up to 16 drivers, aiming at offering a wide set of racing scenarios, from road cars mix, to GT racing and more. More server slots are on the way, after this first phase in which the focus will be providing a stable session transition and overall multiplayer gameplay experience.

The multiplayer experience in Assetto Corsa EVO 0.3 is built on a new platform, co-developed with SIATI (Swiss Innovative Arts and Technology Institute).
Thanks to this infrastructure, KUNOS Simulazioni will offer free public servers for all players to join, and the same platform will be made accessible to rent, configure and run custom server configurations. This new system targets a worldwide stable multiplayer experience in the long run.

When the Custom Server Portal becomes available, players will be able to rent and configure Assetto Corsa EVO multiplayer servers with a wide range of options, such as car lists, password protection, weather presets and more. Pricing has been defined to remain accessible:

  • 15€ + VAT per month for a 24/7 server, with up to 20 slots included;
  • from 20 to unlimited slots, the price remains flat at 15€ + VAT monthly;
  • daily servers with unlimited slots will be available for 5€;
  • discounts of 10%, 25%, and 50% apply for 3-, 6-, and 12-month subscriptions.

And with the anticipated Daily Racing Portal, developed with SimGrid, launching in Release 4, players can look forward to daily challenges for a non-stop multiplayer action.
Together, these features lay the foundation for a future where casual track days and serious esports can thrive side by side into a single hub.

Physics: Damping, Tyre Model, and Suspension

AC EVO 0.3 introduces a fundamental evolution of the physics engine, transforming how vehicles respond to the road and how players experience that feedback through their setup. In sim racing, damping is essential for translating motion into realistic resistance. Previously, the system limited damping to avoid instability at the expense of driving feeling.

Now, thanks to our new algorithm, damping is resolved as if running at 1000 Hz. This enables smoother, more accurate transitions, especially during quick direction changes or in vehicles with aggressive suspension setups.

This leap forward produces a more organic driving feel, particularly:

  • Under heavy braking
  • During weight transfer
  • When driving over bumps or kerbs

The result is a simulation where car behavior feels more intuitive and grounded in real-world physics, boosting immersion and driver confidence alike.
Tyres, the only contact point between car and track both in real and simulated lives, have also seen major refinements in this release. The new model now accounts for thermal grip shift, with tyre grip changing as temperatures rise, altering where peak traction occurs. Sliding speed effects also come into play, with speed-sensitive grip loss dynamically adjusting based on how fast the tyre is sliding.

And thanks to this more organic feedback, players driving on the limit will feel subtler shifts in traction. Small corrections, recoveries, and inputs now result in clearer, more predictable responses.
All of this, paired with the updated suspension model and the introduction of the soft lock for each car, creates a sharper, more nuanced simulation — one where sensing and exploiting the grip limit becomes second nature.

Engine Audio Rebuilt from the Ground Up

Sound in AC EVO 0.3 has been addressed with the introduction of several per-car new sounds, adding onto immersion, and the optimization of existing effects such as backfires, which are now even more physics-related.

Each car now features its own ignition and startup sequences, capturing every rattle, crank, and roar with stunning realism. The engine timbre is tailored per vehicle, giving each one a distinct voice.
Through engine inertia simulation, you can hear the difference between low-inertia engines, which rev and drop quickly, and high-inertia ones that respond more gradually.

Driveline damping and stiffness are now modeled acoustically, so gear changes and torque shifts come through not just in your hands, but in your ears. You’ll also notice throttle lag and turbo behavior shaping the soundscape, giving your right foot more expressive, audible feedback. And finally, backfire events are tuned for load, RPM, and throttle from light crackles to thunderous pops, depending on the situation.

Altogether, these upgrades transform audio into a second layer of feel, one that deepens immersion and helps drivers read the car’s behavior more instinctively.

UI & Graphics Upgrades: Clarity and Performance

AC EVO 0.3 brings visual polish and interface upgrades aimed at clarity, performance, and usability:

  • Enhanced Global Illumination and post-processing deliver richer, more responsive lighting.
  • VRAM optimization reduces memory use, resulting in smoother framerates — especially in multiplayer.
  • Refined motion blur and lighting balance improve visual consistency in complex scenes.
  • A brand-new Multi-Function Display (MFD) includes real-time leaderboard data, input setup, and customizable pages.
  • Updated widgets for speed, tyre, and gear info now include additional indicators, like Pit Limiter status.
  • Interface transitions are smoother and easier to read during races.

These upgrades are designed to keep drivers focused and well-informed, improving their quality of life — whether they’re shaving off tenths in qualifying or managing long stints on race day.

New Environments

While admiring your car, you can now choose in “Scene Option” between Living Room and EVO Garage to enjoy your collection in fresh new settings.

New Cars in Assetto Corsa EVO 0.3

This release adds nine new vehicles, spanning legendary touring cars, modern GT3 monsters, raw prototypes, and unfiltered track weapons.

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport offers a balanced, mid-engine experience, with smooth power delivery from its traditional boxer engine. Paired with a near-seamless DCT, ABS, and TC, its 425 hp can be pushed with precision, lap after lap.

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO refines an already dominant GT3 platform with updates to aero balance, braking, and drivability. Its 590 hp straight-six, paired with improved control under all conditions, makes it a top-tier GT contender.

The Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 delivers a pure cup car experience — loud, fast, and unfiltered. With a screaming V10 and aggressive braking systems, it’s built for racing, with adjustable ABS and TC to suit your style.

Looking for raw fun? The Caterham Seven Academy Racer strips it all back — 130 hp, narrow tyres, and no electronic assists. It rewards brave drivers and invites intense slipstream battles thanks to its short wheelbase and playful dynamics.

The Dallara Stradale brings near-prototype performance to the road. With 400 hp and just 850 kg, it pulls up to 2Gs in corners while staying beautifully balanced. In AC EVO, you can configure your own version: Coupe, Barchetta, or Roadster.

The Ferrari F2004 stands as a monument to early 2000s F1. Famously driven in the real world by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello, this 900 hp V10 legend from Ferrari’s dominant era has been recreated in detail, bringing back a time when the car demanded everything from the driver.

The Mercedes-Benz 190E AMG 2.5-16 Evo II revives the golden age of DTM, when touring cars were tuned from production models. With 235 hp and adjustable rear wings and suspension, it’s all about mechanical grip and personal setup.

Right alongside it, the BMW M3 Sport Evo (E30) delivers 238 hp of touring car perfection. Limited to just 600 units, it features period-accurate styling and legendary chassis feedback — complete with that iconic suede steering wheel.

And finally, the Audi RS 6 Avant brings a new kind of muscle to the track. Its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 sends 600 hp through an AWD system smart enough to shift torque to the outer rear wheel — turning a family wagon into a true circuit weapon.
