Fanatec – Price Increases Coming Next Week

It was bound to happen. Fanatec is the first of a long list of companies and manufacturers that are (or will be) forced to raise prices to balance the books. It’s funny to see people who still believe they can live isolated in a global world, or ignore politics, when it is proven that politics gets deep into people’s lives. A sad news that will be followed by many more of this kind unless the global situation (not only the war) is resolved soon.

This time I have to write an announcement about something rather unfortunate.

Rising costs are the reality of electromechanical manufacturing in the current global climate. We have been digesting and managing it for over a year now, hoping that the situation will improve, but the time has come to make some adjustments.

Shipping costs have not only gone up a bit, but are now multiples of what we had before and don’t get me started on the stupid potato chip prices, as the shortage continues until 2023.

Effective March 17, 2022, several products in our CSL, ClubSport and Podium lines will increase in price. However, this is not an across-the-board increase for all products, and I am pleased to say that we have been able to keep many products the same, including maintaining base prices for the core component of our ecosystem: flywheel bases. Following a re-evaluation of our pricing structure, we have also been able to lower the price of a small number of products thanks to a good currency exchange rate (the price drops have already been applied today).

We wanted to give you a heads up before we implement the price increases next week. We are keeping changes to a minimum, and will continue to work hard to deliver great value, innovation and performance across the Fanatec product range.

So in summary: if you are planning to buy anything from us in the near future, this weekend would be the right time to do it 😉 .
