The pedals included with the Logitech G25, G27, or G29 have barely changed in the last 10 years. The reason is simple: It’s a good product. Simple, easily identifiable electronics make them easy to fix and easy to modify. There’s only one downside, and that’s that the potentiometers used in the factory product are cheap and not very resistant to use, so over time it is likely that the accelerator or brake (the most used pedals) begin to see oscillations.
Some see the accelerator vibrating, or not reaching the end. Others see that the brake is activated a little. The problems are all the same. The potentiometer is dirty and getting more and more worn. To solve the problem temporarily or preferably definitively there are several alternatives that we expose below and that allow to return to enjoy without headaches of our pedals.
This is a replacement kit for our old potentiometers with the hall sensors, which have no contact and therefore should obtain a longer duration and reliability than the potentiometers. About 20 euros per unit.
3D printing without electronics and industrial potentiometers with the same features of Logitech but much better durability for 25 euros without shipping.
It is a temporary solution and involves continuous dismantling. You have a wide range in the stores. We have been recommended this one.
Simple 3D printing and electronics for complete replacement of the potentiometers with a more reliable and non-contact measuring method. Currently no stock and 50 euros without shipping.
See you on the track!
