iRacing – Almost Pro $10k iRacing Open

Press release about the Almost Pro $10k iRacing Open powered by Intel will take place during the PAX Online show in September and will give sim racing enthusiasts a chance to cash in on their passion!

iRacers can log into iRacing at anytime from Thursday, September 10th @ 8pm ET to Wednesday, September 16th @ 7:59pm ET and attempt to run a lap in the PAX Arena Almost Pro Time Attack session. To access the Time Attack, click on “Go Racing” and then select Time Attack Competitions on the left side of the UI. Then, select the PAX Almost Pro Time Attack from the list.

The top 40 competitors from the US & Canada will qualify for the Main event on Saturday, September 19th. A league invite will be sent out to these competitors immediately following the conclusion of the qualifying round. Competitors MUST accept this league invitation to compete in the Main Event.

ALMOST PRO $10K IRACING OPEN POWERED BY INTEL

The Main Event will feature the 40 best US & Canadian iRacers from the Time Attack, pitting them against each other in a series of Heat Races. The Almost Pro $10k iRacing Open is scheduled for September 19th at 4pm ET. The event will be broadcast on the PAX Arena Twitch channel (Twitch.tv/PAXArena), as well as their Facebook and YouTube pages!

PRACTICE

HEAT 1

  • 20 cars – Top 8 transfer to the Feature (15 minutes)

HEAT 2

  • 20 cars – Top 8 transfer to the Feature (15 Minutes)

LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER

  • 24 cars – Top 8 transfer to the Feature (15 minutes)

WARMUP

FEATURE

  • 24 cars – 30 minutes

  • 1st – $3,000, Almost Pro Trophy
  • 2nd – $2,000, Almost Pro Medal
  • 3rd – $1,500, Almost Pro Medal
  • 4th – $1,000, Almost Pro Medal
  • 5th – $750, Almost Pro Medal
  • 6th – $600, Almost Pro Medal
  • 7th – $500, Almost Pro Medal
  • 8th – $350, Almost Pro Medal
  • 9th – $200, Almost Pro Medal
  • 10th – $100, Almost Pro Medal

Additional Prizing provided by Intel:

Top 40 eligible finalists from the Almost Pro Time Attack Qualifier will each receive one merchandise package and one $50 USD Steam gift card.

Top 10 finalists in the Almost Pro Feature Race will receive one Intel merchandise package, one $100 Steam gift card, one i7 CPU, and one z490 motherboard.
