A new transfer in iRacing HQ could change it all. Or at least entering a new bunch of changes that have to be defined, as iRacing has recently hired Terence Groening, who lately was working as head of physics in rF Pro.
The rFactor Professional version is a branch of the original rFactor that evolved independently to accommodate all the requests and peculiarities of the professional world of motorsports and automotive brands. It is a widely used tool and with great depth in the professional simulators of many teams that need certain very specific features.
The best thing about Terence Groening is that he has been working in simulators for many years, actually all his professional life and has participated in the entire saga rFactor 2 as in previous titles, so he could get iRacing to have that feeling in the FFB that many simracers are looking for and only found in other titles.
In Racesimracentral you have an interview with his former teammate Tim Wheatly.

Good lord, the last thing I want to see in iracing are fake curb effects or an exaggerated over/understeer FFB. iRacing is simulating what is felt through the steering rack what is the ideal if you are using a motion rig. Please do not mess it up!
I run with the centering spring turned all the way up so I don’t have to deal with ffb. The day they start forcing this stuff on us is the day I go back to using my TSW2!
