Sebring

Welcome to Sebring!

After our content at Monza in December, this week we join the team once again – this time at Sebring International Raceway for a Balance of Performance (BoP) test.

The Sebring circuit, located in Sebring, Florida, United States, is a mixed layout of 6.02 kilometers (3.74 miles) in length with 17 corners. It is characterized by its long straights and challenging curves, combining fast sections with technical areas that require precision. The track surface is asphalt, and the direction of travel is counterclockwise.

The circuit includes a bumpy section that tests the cars’ suspension, and Florida’s warm and humid weather can affect the performance of both drivers and cars, making it perfect for endurance races in Le Mans Ultimate.

Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTE

The first of today’s two presentations… the champions of the LMGTE Am class.

The car to beat in the GTE category, with Ben Keating, Nicky Catsburg, and Nico Varrone behind the wheel.

It features a lightweight aluminum chassis and a mid-rear positioned naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine. Its optimized aerodynamics, with a prominent rear wing and diffuser, allow it to generate great aerodynamic downforce for better grip in corners. Competition suspension and high-performance brakes ensure precise handling and powerful braking.

With its cutting-edge design and state-of-the-art technology, the Corvette C8.R GTE is ready to conquer the world’s tracks in the GTE categories of the World Endurance Championship.

Cadillac V-Series.R

Cadillac has developed the car using the Dallara chassis and has opted for a single-car approach for the entire season in the FIA WEC, with car number 2 as the flagship.

The number two and dark blue color were used to pay homage to Cadillac’s first foray into the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 1950 Briggs Cunningham, nicknamed “Le Monstre.”

One of the images released by the Le Mans Ultimate account is a lap of the entire Sebring track with AI, where we can observe the HUD and driving from the interior.
