In a matter of days, we will have the early access of Le Mans Ultimate available, and following the new images we saw with Sebring, it’s time to talk about the graphical aspect.
Being globally released on February 20, 2024, in Early Access on PC via Steam, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans will benefit from the integration of the YEBIS post-effects system, known for its advanced CG lighting effects and optical expression.
What is YEBIS?
In short, YEBIS is a post-effects system known for its advanced CG lighting effects and optical expression. It is used to enhance visual quality and immersion in virtual environments, especially in automotive simulation games and other games requiring realistic graphics and detailed visual effects.
This system provides a wide range of optical and lighting effects, including motion blur, glare, depth of field, and other realistic lens effects, which enhance players’ visual experience and make it more dynamic.
How will it impact Le Mans Ultimate?
Studio 397’s intention for its simulator is obviously immersion both in terms of its content and the graphics that surround us while driving.

This is implemented in many areas of Le Mans Ultimate, such as weather conditions, debris on the windshield, realistic water flow, and puddles on the track. YEBIS post-effects contribute to the reality and dynamic visual expression in this racing environment through various optical enhancement and lighting effects, such as depth of field, motion blur, glare, and other realistic and immersive lens effects.
