Max Verstappen explodes against the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans… “This is a clown show”

Max Verstappen was very upset after taking part in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The Dutch Formula 1 champion expressed his frustration with the event and did not shy away from criticizing it. He was particularly upset with the technical issues that occurred during the race and the poor management of the event by the organizers.

After more than 16 hours of racing, with 3 falls and 2 laps lost due to the same and no opportunity to recover them due to the Race Control’s refusal, he left the car in the pits and decided to retire from the race along with his team.

All of this, commenting that “this is not due to bad luck, this is incompetence (on the part of the organization) that can’t even control their own video game.”

Max Verstappen: “Is this an event? No, you can’t call it that. This is a clown show,” he said.

Verstappen, who was in first place, saw security failures in the broadcast and there were even three red flags, which caused the race to stop and his team to withdraw the car from the tournament as they went from leading to 14th place, and two laps behind the leader.

“This is the third time it happens to me. Now they kick me out of the game during the race. It’s the last time I participate in this. They call it bad luck… it’s just incompetence! They can’t even control their own game,” he states.

In addition to all the words he said in the heat of the moment when the team withdrew their vehicle, Max later posted on the official Discord of the event again what he said live, reaffirming his position on the event and the organization. Here is everything he said in this message:
