Max Verstappen – Sim Racing Setup

The current two-time Formula One world champion won the first race of the season and is now in the lead for the championship. Max Verstappen, the Dutch driver for Red Bull, is going for his third consecutive title and kicked off the Formula One World Championship with a win at the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday. He beat out his teammate Sergio Perez from Mexico and Fernando Alonso from Spain, who finished on the podium in his first race for Aston Martin.

Verstappen is an experienced and frequent simracer who loves competing with other racers and teammates in simulators when he can’t drive his actual race car. He’s become a significant ambassador for simracing since his name often appears at the top of the leaderboards on racing platforms.

Ever since Verstappen entered the world of high-level racing, he’s made it a priority to supplement his training and on-track learning with simracing. Many of the driving techniques he uses in his style come from practicing in simulators with other racers.

Max understands the benefits of simulation and likes to use it whenever possible, as he finds it enjoyable. He has a unique cockpit that includes a Playseat F1 Ultimate cockpit and a Sim Engineering wheel with a Leo Bodnar engine and base. The pedals are Heusinkveld Ultimate and he uses a set of Samsung 32-inch curved triple screens, with an additional screen for race information.

He complete the setup with a Heusinkveld shifter and handbrake, wireless helmets and a carbon fiber seat, presumably made to order.

Max can be seen competing in iRacing special events with his Team RedLine team and in official races of any discipline under his name or his father’s (his smurf account). It all depends on the F1 calendar and his commitments.

A PC completes the set to move everything with the necessary fluidity.
