Raceroom is promoting the On The Edge Pack DLC

The new Raceroom DLC featuring three high-performance cars is already showcasing some of its new content. Here, the Mazda DPi, the X-Bow GT2, and the McLaren 570S arrive in Sector3 Studios’ title.

Our next content release features a trio of cars designed to be pushed to the limit: a set of performance monsters that reward -demand, even- maximum attack mode. We introduce a superstar of endurance racing inspired by a jet fighter; a GT supercar that punches way above its weight; and, finally, a true modern-era prototype missile. These three cars make up our On The Edge performance pack.

First up is the unique KTM X-Bow GT2, the latest steroid evolution of the X-Bow platform. What started out as a lightweight, adult go-kart has grown over the years, first with a clamshell-type closed cockpit and now with a longer wheelbase, extreme aerodynamics, and even more power. Aimed at the SRO’s gentleman driver GT2 series, it has also made a strong entry into the international endurance scene, and with success.

You may think GT4s are tame: boring, barely modified road cars? Think again. GT4 has evolved from its humble roots as a starting point for aspiring GT drivers to becoming an independent category, just below GT3 (and often racing alongside it). Let’s not forget that the cars that GT4s are based on are often supercars in their own right, and the McLaren 570S GT4 proves it. Low, capable, and exciting to drive, the McLaren will further enhance Raceroom’s already potent GT4 package.

The tip of this performance avalanche is the sleek Mazda RT-24P prototype. Built to IMSA DPi regulations by sports car specialists Multimatic, and based on the Riley-Multimatic Mk30 LMP2 chassis, the Mazda is a true racer. And that’s both the sound of its engine and what happens when you drive it. The RT-24P is a complete prototype: carbon tubes, loaded with aerodynamics, and 600 horsepower in a package that weighs considerably less than a ton. It competed between 2017 and 21 and won all the American endurance classics: Sebring, Daytona, and Petit Le Mans. It’s going to be a blast to drive and perfect for multiclass racing.

We’ll provide more details on each car in the coming days, leading up to the pack’s launch in early April. Fasten your virtual seatbelts: things are going to get extreme!
