It’s been 9 years since the launch of Assetto Corsa and for many people it’s still the go-to simulator in terms of content, thanks to the modders.
Radical Motorsport, a British racing manufacturer and builder, has joined in adding content to Kunos Simulazioni’s title, Assetto Corsa Ultimate , by developing a new mod for their own car, the Radical SR3 XXR. The Radical SR3 model is one of the most famous racing prototype-style cars ever manufactured in the world. The XXR generation we have in Assetto Corsa was released in December 2022.
“The SR3 models currently make up the majority of grids in the 12 Radical Cup championships around the world, with over 1,500 sold to date, making it the most successful sports racing prototype-style car in the world.”
The virtual vehicle was developed by the UnitedRacingDesign (URD) team using CAD (computer-aided design) data provided directly by the car brand, combining 3D modeling with direct feedback from drivers.
