Best Sim Racing Pedals 2021

For all SimRacers, here we present the reference guide to choose possibly the most decisive device of your entire cockpit.

It is time to analyze the features and the points in favor of each one and make a decision. Remember that for an overview you have all available in our hardware database.

All the pedals we present have load cells that allow a progressive travel. Some of them also have magnetic sensors or industrial potentiometers, obviating the previous models where these used to fail with time in the measurement of the travel.

Under 300 euros:

Fanatec and Thrustmaster fight side by side in a wide market and with the majority of clients who choose to accompany steering wheels of the same brand with pedal models that are already somewhat advanced.

Thrustmaster T-LCM

Thrustmaster’s best-selling and recently released, priced below 200 euros, features advanced pedals that have seen their price drop over time. It still has plastic parts, although almost everything important is in metal. It is yet to see its rate of failure over time, but the model seems very well studied and has a 100kg load cell and magnetic sensors along with a very simple arrangement of elements that allows to regulate the hardness very easily. It has several accessories to customize and adjust in our cockpit.

Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals LC

For just over 220 euros you can find this version of Fanatec peripherals which has good reviews and finishes. As always the German brand surrounds its pedals with a multitude of additions that make them a very interesting option. Finished in metal with a 90kg load cell and potentiometers with 12 bits resolution. There is a slightly cheaper version without a clutch and with less additions.

From 300 to 700 euros

This range has until recently been considered the top range or top of the range until the appearance of pedals with hydraulic mechanisms.

Fanatec ClubSport V3

A step forward in the Fanatec range that presents better finishes and performance. With all the attachments that are not present in the LC, here we find the best that can come out of the German factory as far as our feet are concerned. They exist in normal and inverted position, with a big price difference between them. From 359 euros and expandable with the brake performance kits and dampers.

Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Sprint

The evolution of one of the pioneers in this type of aluminium pedal. The Pro model was one of the inspirations for the placement of pivots and movable devices to achieve a similar effect to the real one in the simulation pedals and from that moment on and the incredible service of Heusinkveld, the Dutch company has only grown. These Sim Pedals Sprint are a refinement of that Pro model that swept the board a few years ago. As with its predecessor, it is still difficult to find stock of this model. From 699 euros in the limit of this category.

From 700 euros

A bit unknown terrain for us, since except for the Heusinkveld Ultimate, we have not had the opportunity to try out more pedals of this type. Here is a breakdown of some of these very advanced products.

SRP-GT Pedals

A new bet with important innovations. Simracing-PRO is committed to achieving high-end pedals at an attractive price for potential users. They are on sale for 750 euros. We hope to bring you a review soon.

Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate

Niels Heusinkveld’s top-of-the-range model and the one on which he built his expertise. A beastly evolution of the Pro model that features dampers, better electronics and better finishes if that’s possible. A classic and a safe purchase guarantee. From 1329 euros.

For the time being, and pending verification of new products that will be added to this guide is what we have available on the market. There are a few more brands that we know have models of which we need more references and we are working to get them.

Fortunately, it is a much wider selection than we had years ago and it allows us to adjust to the needs and pockets of each fan. If you see we are missing something, tell us by the usual means.

See you on the track!
