iRacing introduces in-race speaker for enhanced immersion

We have one of the first novelties that will arrive in the upcoming seasons, and that’s iRacing will be adding more immersion and local experiences on the track. So, they are preparing to incorporate a local speaker at each track that exists in iRacing starting from the following season.

This speaker will have voices in several languages, respecting the country where the track in question is located, so in Barcelona we will have Spanish voices, in Interlagos in Portuguese, and in Hockenheim in German, for example. This voice will be interacting with the crowd in the circuit, welcoming the public, reminding them not to litter, or announcing about a badly parked car. In addition, it will also react to events that occur during the race, such as an accident on the circuit, a yellow flag, or the end of the race.

All of these points give greater immersion during the race, so the speaker will come out through the audio devices that are located around the circuit, especially on the main straight. In addition, if there is no assistance in the circuit, announcements will not be made through the loudspeakers, so if we are in a practice or if we have the crowd disabled, we will not be able to enjoy this new feature of the simulator.
